Provi is innovating the 240-billion dollar alcohol industry—do you want to be part of something game-changing?We were a hungry team in 2016 when we started and we’re still a hungry team, living our values—Host, Serve, Deliver and Celebrate—every day. We make sure that as the company grows, our people grow too and we’d love to have you on board.

Frequently cited statistics show that women and underrepresented groups apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. But guess what? No one ever meets 100% of the qualifications. Trust your experience and apply!

Provi has achieved product-market fit across the three tiers of the beverage industry with a simple premise: make ordering easier for retailers, distributors and suppliers. Central to that ordering process is a robust and accurate product search. Retailers want to quickly and easily find the products they need; distributors and suppliers want their highly discoverable products to help inform retailers’ purchasing decisions. This delicate balance comes to fruition in a thoughtfully designed and optimized search experience. As the Product Manager of Provi’s search experiences, you will work with designers, engineers and other product managers to build the most accurate and fastest search product available for alcohol buyers, innovate upon that experience and lay a strong foundation on which other product teams can build innovative merchandising solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Work with a team of engineers, designers and other product managers to define, prototype and launch innovative solutions that meet needs of customers -- retailers, distributors and suppliers -- and business goals in scalable ways.
  • Think holistically about your product area of focus. With input and context from other product teams and business stakeholders, own roadmap-building, prioritization and execution for an engineering pod.
  • Keep the user problem that you’re solving top of mind -- and ensure that the rest of the organization is as well. Intake user feedback -- both qualitative (user research studies, surveys, and focus groups) and quantitative (discovery and purchase funnels, usage trends) -- to determine new feature sets and iterations on existing functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising product and business leaders to enable monetization of our search results.
  • Be accountable for outcomes not output.  Understand the business opportunity, the ROI of what you’re proposing and the impact of what you’ve built. Communicate that impact to your team and the broader organization. Do not ship it and forget it. What you do matters.
  • Collaborate daily with engineering, design and operational leaders to build amazing and thoughtfully planned experiences.
  • Own the execution and excellence of your product area. Be scrappy. Solve problems. Do what needs to be done.
  • Be both a teacher and student to your peers in the product team. Help the product team as a whole continue to improve. Help facilitate and maintain our team dynamic: open, encouraging, productive. Lead with empathy.
  • Above all strive to make the Provi team, business and product great.

What we are looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience in execution of tech-related projects preferably in an Agile software development environment.
  • Understanding of marketplaces and commerce-related products (checkout, payments, advertising, merchandising and more) from user-facing experiences to the underlying APIs and algorithms that power them. Experience building and iterating on search, discovery and merchandising experiences.
  • Proven track record of getting things done and done well with lots of examples of projects you've spearheaded.
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making experience.
  • Amazing written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the grit to turn uncertainty into action.
