Swile is seeking a Product Manager to drive our Brazilian market payments strategy and operations through our global payments products. In this role, you will build a product roadmap according to Brazilian regulation and compliance rules focusing on monetization, product vision & strategy, data driven decision making, and seeking impact.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with Brazilian regulations and compliance rules. This roadmap will focus on four key areas: monetization, product vision & strategy, data-driven decision making, and maximizing impact. You'll need to balance local market needs with our global product strategy, ensuring a standardized yet locally optimized payments solution.

A deep understanding of card schemes (such as Mastercard and Visa) and experience working with logistics and payment ecosystem partners will be crucial. You'll leverage this expertise to forge strong partnerships, negotiate favorable terms, and integrate these vital components into our product ecosystem.

What you will do?

  • Strategic Product Management:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product roadmap for the Brazilian market, aligning with local regulations and global strategies;
  • Craft product strategy in line with Swile's goals, utilizing data analysis and market research for informed decision-making;
  • Drive alignment between Brazilian stakeholders and the global product team for a standardized yet locally optimized payments solution;
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging payment technologies;

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee payment operations collaboratively with CX and Finance teams, managing card logistics, chargebacks, and other payment operational tasks;
  • Identify patterns and streamline processes to automate repetitive tasks, enhancing operational efficiency and user experience;
  • Monitor KPIs and user feedback for continuous product improvement;
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to Brazilian financial regulations.

Technical Leadership:

  • Deep dive into technical documentation to leverage payment technologies and integrations;
  • Drive engineering teams in delivering high-quality, innovative payment solutions;
  • Define and prioritize product features based on impact, feasibility, and user needs;
  • Write clear PRDs and work closely with engineering for successful feature implementation.

Partnerships and Collaboration:

  • Negotiate and manage partnerships with payment and banking providers;
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers for intuitive payment experiences;
  • Present strategies and results to senior management and stakeholders;
  • Work with other product managers to ensure a cohesive end-to-end product vision.

Market & regulatory Understanding:

  • Conduct market research and user interviews to identify pain points and opportunities;
  • Analyze product performance metrics and user behavior data to guide decisions;
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from conception to launch and beyond;
  • Make sure we are operating according to the Brazilian regulation on both, operations and product side.

Base requirements

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience;
  • Bachelor's Degree on Computer Science, Engineering and other related fields (or relevant professional experience);
  • Experience with SQL and Data visualization tools such as Metabase and Looker;
  • Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English;
  • Proven track record working on payments and banking platform products;
  • Proven track record working on marketplace products;
  • Experience working with card schemas.

Preferred requirements

  • 6+ years of Product Management experience;
  • Experience working on globally available payments products.
