Product Manager, Payment Risk

We are seeking a Product Manager who will build the vision and roadmap to extend Adyen’s benefit beyond the checkout experience by maturing our  automation to optimise across payment risk and customer authentication. This role needs a Product Manager that can go from high level strategic thinking to more tactical product development. You need to be comfortable with Big Data and Web/App technologies. Having a track record of product managing machine-learning supported products is a definite plus. As a key guide on our Data Solution team you'll work closely with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Data Analysts, Frontend Developers, our Privacy team and Account Management.

What you’ll do:

• Develop the product strategy for collecting, examining and integrating customer data within and outside of the checkout journey for  payment and risk optimisations
• Create the vision and plan to combine various optimisations around a common goal 
• Work closely together with technical teams to bring product vision to reality by continuously prioritising the most important items that deliver value to our customers 
• Establish clear goals, communicate frequently and clearly with other teams and its components to ensure alignment across teams 
• Craft hypothesis and test these ideas together with experimentation frameworks to uncover new growth opportunities
• Responsible for driving product adoption for the new product areas and shifting to revenue as these products scale
• Mentoring junior or less experienced product specialists and product managers by guiding them to build better products

Who you are:

• Problem solver that is hypothesis focused and analytical, but also balances risks and benefits while taking trade-off conclusions
• Manages a high degree of technical complexity and is comfortable going deep together with data scientists on model performance and evaluation 
• Ability to break down complex projects in clear and understandable deliverables with timelines that are clearly communicated with the team and merchants that we work with
• Has the goal to deep dive into machine learning based applications, market trends and is obsessed with solving customer problems 
• Able to build consensus and influence without authority using data metrics to bring the team and company on driving decision making and business impact 
• Experience working together with a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Frontend Developers and Data Analysts
• Experience with either quantitative analysis, product analytics, experimentation and/or machine learning is preferred
• Demonstrated experience conceiving, launching, and scaling revenue from machine learning based products is a plus
• Fluent in conversational and written English on a professional level
• Able to live the Adyen formula
