Job Description

At Cash App, we are building an Operating System to power an infinitely scalable superapp. The Operating System team is responsible for curating core experiences that connect our products intuitively for our customers; building the shared services and technical architecture that are performant and promote development velocity; and experimentation that enables us to constantly iterate on remarkable experiences for our customers.

You will be a product manager on the Growth Services team. Our goal is to drive efficiency and innovation across our customer engagement platform. The Growth Services team supports shared infrastructure for Cash App across our customer data & eventing platform, experimentation infrastructure, customer messaging infrastructure, and marketing automation. This team builds core internal platforms that enable marketing efficiency, personalization, and experimental optimization across all of Cash App. 

In this role you will:

  • Define the strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for your teams, balancing business goals and customer needs.
  • You will balance the needs of three groups: end Cash App customers, internal developers and product / operational / marketing teams that need to reach these customers. You must deeply understand the needs of these internal and external customers and act as their voice through planning, design and execution.
  • Define the framework and metrics to measure the impact of the team’s services; deeply understand the core drivers and monitor progress.
  • Manage the roadmap to deliver on this strategy, balancing short term goals with long term vision.
  • Develop the strategy for internal tools, shared systems, and processes that govern all of Cash App’s customer engagement. 

Qualifications

You have:

  • 3-5 years of product management or equivalent experience
  • Successfully led a complex product or business area with a lot of partners/stakeholders
  • Experience driving cross-functional product initiatives in a successful way 
  • A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful product & business problems
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and logical structuring abilities
  • Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently lay out and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems without well-defined direction
  • Can engage with engineering on thinking about the how we build a platform that can scale to handle Cash App’s complexity and volume
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience with working with customer engagement or customer marketing platforms
  • Prior experience working with B2B SaaS products or internal tooling 
  • Prior experience working with customer eventing platforms, experimentation platforms, or customer messaging platforms

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $167,300 - USD $204,500
Zone B: USD $158,900 - USD $194,300
Zone C: USD $150,600 - USD $184,000
Zone D: USD $142,200 - USD $173,800
