Join our Consumer Web team and be responsible for our web product :onefootball.com (desktop + mobile web), including SEO.

Your Role

  • Website Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the OneFootball website, aligning it with the overall company vision and business goals. Continuously evaluate market trends, user feedback, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, User Research, and Advertising, to define and prioritise website features and enhancements. Work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure efficient and timely delivery of website updates.
  • User Experience Optimisation: Work in collaboration with the User Research team to gain insights into user behavior, preferences, and needs. Leverage this knowledge to enhance the website's usability, functionality, and overall user experience. Drive continuous improvement through A/B testing and data-driven decision making.
  • Content Aggregation and Publication: Oversee the integration of real-time football news, match scores, team information, and player updates into the website. Ensure the timely and accurate publication of high-quality content from thousands of media sources, providing users with comprehensive and up-to-date football coverage.
  • SEO Management: Utilize your expertise in search engine optimisation to increase organic traffic to the website. Monitor SEO performance metrics, conduct keyword research, optimise metadata, and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to enhance visibility and rankings.
  • Advertising Monetisation: Collaborate with the Advertising team to develop and implement effective magnetisation strategies for the website. Drive revenue growth through video and display ad placements while ensuring a seamless and non-intrusive user experience.
  • Performance Tracking and Analytics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of website features, SEO efforts, and advertising campaigns. Utilise data analytics and reporting tools to generate actionable insights and make informed decisions.

Your Profile

  • 3+ years experience managing content media websites or media platforms, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry, with a focus on fast-growing audiences.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and demonstrated experience in optimising websites for search engines.
  • Previous experience in monetising websites with advertising, particularly video and display ads.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to drive data-informed decision making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for football and a deep understanding of the global football landscape.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, with the ability to embrace challenges and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience in managing websites with fast-growing audiences, implementing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; additional certifications or qualifications in digital marketing or product management will be a plus.
