The Team

The Internal Products team ensures that FT staff have the right tools and capabilities to support our strategy and that these tools are effective, impactful and a joy to work with. The MarTech team covers areas such as customer data platform, marketing automation platform, content management systems, surveying tools to help Marketing teams work more efficiently.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced marketing technology Product Manager to oversee the development of unifying Marketing capabilities across the FT Group. You will play a hands-on role in transforming the business from a series of disconnected Marketing initiatives and legacy technology investments into new software and capabilities as a driver of growth for the FT. 

You will work closely with other FT teams across the breadth of the organisation, meaning the work is always varied. You will form a partnership with stakeholders to develop an in-depth understanding of their needs and articulate the valuable things our teams can do to enhance our business outcomes, doing this in collaboration with the other disciplines in your team (engineering, business analysis, delivery, data etc).

You’ll be able to find the right balance of long and short term objectives and be able to use qualitative & quantitative data to measure, learn and pivot as needed. You will also communicate with a wider department and company about the work your team is doing, helping gain support for your vision and telling a story about your progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the roadmap and development of Bloomreach, (the FT’s Marketing Automation and Customer Data Platform tooling), aligning it with the overall marketing and business objectives.
  • Reporting to the Senior Product Manager to drive the product vision, strategy, roadmap planning, and execution for all MarTech tooling across the FT.
  • Own planning and end-to-end execution of Bloomreach features and capabilities.
  • Prioritise initiatives, balancing the needs of the business ensuring the team focus on the most valuable work.
  • Provide support to your team by collaboratively setting objectives and key results, analyses success metrics, tracking progress, and helping adjust course when needed.
  • Strong communicator building effective  working relationships across large cross-function projects and teams to deliver value for our colleagues and the organisation as a whole.
  • Experience in partnering with engineering, marketing, sales, data teams and external vendors to work collaboratively towards a shared goal.
  • Proven influencing and negotiation skills with a strong ability to work communication product plans, updates and results across the organisation and at senior levels. 
  • Conduct user and vendor forums to gather feedback to refine and iterate on product enhancements.
  • The ability to balance workloads and priorities against incoming requests that may arise within the Product & Technology department.

What you'll bring

  • 2+ years of product management experience (in a non-managerial role) working on Marketing Technology and CRM solutions.
  • A proven record of building exceptional products that meaningfully solve the most important problems felt by customers, whilst achieving key business goals.
  • Familiarity with Bloomreach, Marketo or other MAPs/CDPs/ESPs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with relevant marketing technology industry trends and best practice
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking to support decision making  and a customer-centric mindset.
