What We Expect

The Live Service Product Manager is primarily responsible for our live service games; they will analyze and report on game & event performance, from high-level KPIs to deep dives into specific strategies. They will utilize game data, competitive research, and player feedback to formulate new engagement strategies. They will support our developers in crafting daily, weekly, monthly content programs to ensure the highest performance of their game. Additionally they will work with producers and designers to prioritize content that improves retention and provides members with a great gaming experience. PM’s also work across non-live service games to ensure the portfolio as a whole is healthy and driving the correct outcome for the business. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own Live Service optimization efforts at the title level, for a set of 5-10 titles.
  • Partner with Live Service Producers and cross-functional game pods to make date driven decisions that optimize each game. 
  • Use deep knowledge of the mobile market and free to play space to ensure that we are signing best in class games to our service in a most cost effective way
  • Closely collaborate with external studio production & creative partners to ensure external games cater to players’ motivations while maximizing acquisition and engagement drivers, and manage key features that further optimize efforts towards live service best practices. 
  • Determine the research strategy to ensure product decisions are data-driven and meet user needs, including the ability to qualitatively and quantitatively teardown games on any platform.
  • Provide excellent information sharing on game and slate performance through regular reporting and deep dive analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in the gaming industry, working in analytical roles including strategy & analysis and product management, assessing ongoing performance and optimization for games in multiple categories
  • Exceptional experience in game design for retention optimization. Deep understanding of economy and monetization design 
  • Experience working with live service games on any platform (PC, console, mobile), supporting feature development and live service over several major feature deployments 
  • Deep understanding of engagement drivers in live service games
  • Experience managing cross functional groups through influence
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve and iterate on existing framework, or building anew for best results 
  • Passion for video games, innovations in software and how they enrich the player experience 
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $600,000. 

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
