Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

As a Product Manager in the Jira Cloud Platform team, you will contribute to the building of product experiences our customers love, and platform that enables teams both within and outside of Atlassian to build structured work products for the knowledge worker market. Jira is Atlassian's flagship product and is fundamental to our success, and you’ll be working on one of Jira’s most highly used experiences: the issue experience.
In this role, you’ll be on a mission to provide a fast, reliable and easy-to-use Jira issue experience that helps every team capture, collaborate on, and move work forward. And to build an issue experience platform that can be easily adopted and built upon by other teams across Atlassian.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their likes and dislikes, and top pain points and opportunities within this space. Maintain regular customer engagement and across the Atlassian community on feedback and product updates.
  • Develop, prioritise and execute a product roadmap that delivers a measurable benefit to the team mission
  • Optimise the ease of use, and perceived performance of the issue experience (creating, viewing, updating Jira issues) and customers' ability to configure it
  • Build a phenomenal platform experience that meets the needs of other Atlassian teams to build upon
  • Build and evangelize the vision and successes of the team throughout Atlassian.

More about you

  • On your first day, we expect you to have:
  • 3+ years product management experience, ideally at a fast-growing software company
  • A history of working closely with design and development teams
  • Influential leadership skills such as communication, networking, and stakeholder management. You should be able to communicate effectively with people across the organisation – from the developers and designers on your team to senior management. You should be able to tailor your communication to effectively connect with the right people.
  • Experience and passion for great user experience design and creativity in problem solving.
  • Analytical abilities to qualitatively and quantitatively understand complex challenges, gather meaningful insights and share the results.
  • Ability to coach and guide development teams so they can understand the detail as well as how they contribute to the big picture.
  • Technical knowledge and ability to learn complex, technical topics quickly and explain them simply. You are a valued contributor to implementation decisions and help dev teams make the right call.

It's great, but not required, if you have:

  • Experience in the fields of collaboration and enterprise software (SAAS)
  • BE/BS/BA with an emphasis in technology, IT, design, or operations
