Job Description

The Global Data Products and Platforms team mission is to drive decision making at Visa through sustainable and innovative data products and platforms. We are responsible for data platforms that make enhanced and reliable data available for product development. It is an exciting and fast-paced team that would be well suited for those who enjoy being hands-on with data and platform strategy formulation and driving results.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management, Identity and Data Sharing Platform, this role will contribute to all product management aspects of data platforms that enable product development. The right candidate will be able to combine successful product development process experience with effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and technical skills. This role will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end product management.

The Product Manager, Product Management, Identity and Data Sharing Platform, will

  • Maintain a deep understanding of identity and data sharing platforms priorities and stakeholder needs and integrating them into platform product roadmaps.
  • Maintain relationships as well as constantly collaborate with key stakeholders such as product development, technology, legal, external consultants, and others.
  • Work with technology teams to develop use cases, and prioritize user stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that is aligned with platform product strategy.
  • Serve as data platforms SME and provide support for the design and development of the products that leverage the platforms

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred qualifications
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices and should be well versed with agile processes and methodologies.
• Strong business sense and the ability to prioritize against competing objectives/interests
• Strong ability to distill insights from large volumes of data and making sound product recommendations based on value proposition
• The role requires strong leadership, interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others in cross-functional teams to implement and assess the operational impact of changes to processes/procedures.
• Strong ability to multi-task, organize, manage, and implement complex projects working directly with engineering or other stakeholders
• Must have experience in presenting and communicating complex/detailed topics.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details, strong familiarity with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Excel, etc. and data warehousing such as Hadoop, MS SQL Server, expert SQL skills
• Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, highly matrixed, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented.
• Experience conducting competitive research and working with vendors, under minimum supervision

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
