Product Manager, Express Drive, Onboarding

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our Onboarding team within the Express Drive org.   Express Drive is a strategic business within Lyft with the mandate of providing drivers with low-cost access to a car while building the foundational capabilities for Lyft’s autonomous future. We are redefining the vehicle access landscape as the rideshare industry’s most extensive flexible vehicle offering in the US. We do this by managing our vehicle marketplace, building patent-pending pricing technologies, and developing predictive intelligence using vehicle telematics and connected car technologies.  

The Product Manager in this role will define and drive our strategy to become the best place to get a car by using technology to improve all areas of the rental onboarding, nurturing them from lead to getting in their first rental. You will be responsible for ideating and delivering an innovative onboarding, education and reservation experience and driving adoption of electric vehicles across the US. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, customer-obsessed, and passionate Product Manager to lead this mission critical team. This Product Manager should be comfortable working in complex, fast-paced organizations - aligning multiple developments and cross-functional teams to a single vision.  

Responsibilities:

  • Work with leadership to set a compelling vision for the lead generation, application, education and reservation experiences. The Express Drive Onboarding product area includes both digital and operational components, possible 3rd party integrations, and user-level segmentation.
  • Lead the development and growth of Express Drive’s business including initiatives to improve customer conversion, overall quality and profitability, in addition to identifying new ways to grow Express Drive’s addressable market.
  • Define and execute on a strategy to grow awareness and accelerate adoption of electric vehicles; define onboarding strategy for introducing the driver to the new technology and how they consume ancillary services such as charging. 
  • Assess and implement new technologies that can improve the customer experience, bring down costs and accelerate time to starting a rental. 
  • Monitor and own core areas of the renter onboarding journey, including using data and insights on application satisfaction, quality, and risk to ensure business and user needs are being met. 
  • Develop a customer & business-focused product roadmap, build alignment, and influence cross-functional stakeholders across product and other partnering teams (Data Science, Rideshare product teams, Finance, Product Operations, Engineering, Design, UX Research, Field Operations, etc.) Define and drive A/B testing strategy for roadmap. 
  • Set your team's goals, success metrics and roadmap to align with the team’s objectives to optimize utilization and minimize vehicle down-time and drive maximum impact based on data analysis, research studies, and experimentation 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience of building products
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise with a commitment to excellence, analytics rigor and focus on customer experience
  • Confident in decision-making, providing concise, clear, direct communication
  • Strong ability to work with full autonomy and little direct oversight
  • Comfortable in a fast-­paced environment, subject to rapid change and innovation
  • An active participant in Lyft's culture; enthusiasm about Lyft and aligned with Lyft’s core values

For candidates living in Colorado the expected base pay range is $130,240-$151,800, depending on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
