Mission
Make Databricks the simplest and the best Lakehouse platform for data providers to share their data and its value with data practitioners in any organization.
Summary
Databrick’s Lakehouse platform makes it easy for data practitioners like business analysts, data scientists, data engineers, ML engineers, etc, to extract value out of data in various states in their organization using the tools of their choice. Organizations also augment their data with data provided by data providers, whose business is to share this data and monetize it, to solve their business problems. Databricks provides a unique platform for data providers where they can provide their customers governed access to their data, enable them to use the data with industry standard data tools and curate experience to achieve their use cases for that data. Data providers play a strategic role in our Lakehouse vision because they enable data practitioners across many organizations to extract value of data within and outside the organization on one unified, open, standards based platform.
