Overview:

WeWork is seeking an experienced and motivated Product Manager for the Brand Partnerships & Events team to join the Product team in building and maintaining a streamlined global ancillary revenue business. This role will focus on products that go to market through external strategic partnerships, and will require a blend of product management and business development experience.

This position will assess the state of the current offering and help shape the future of Brand Partnerships & Events (BP&E) to drive elevated member satisfaction while achieving profit and revenue targets. The Product Manager will co-author the strategy and planning alongside BP&E senior leadership and will hold responsibility for driving results. They will also partner closely with the BP&E Team and with internal stakeholders to build & grow a holistic and sustainable long term business with a focus on increasing ancillary revenue. They will have responsibility tied to US & Canada profitability with the expectation to leverage best practices to support the business globally, in a future state. Additionally, the Product Manager will work closely with senior leadership to define a clear and consistent company-wide strategy for paid vs. strategic partnerships.

This is a hands-on role with a high level of autonomy to create a vision and roadmap for success, while growing our existing strategy. The Product Manager will partner with senior BP&E leadership, cross-functional teams and strategic external partners to deliver the best solutions to our members.

The ideal candidate is a team player and a holistic, outside-the-box thinker who can own and manage various products & priorities simultaneously. Their success will be directly tied to their ability to drive profitable growth for Brand Partnerships & Events.

Responsibilities:

-Product Management

  • Bring a disciplined, strategic product manager mindset to the role

  • Clearly define product-market fit & value propositions and communicate these effectively to internal & external stakeholders

  • Use an entrepreneurial mindset to own & grow the portfolio

-Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and improve product strategy for Brand Partnerships & Events.

  • Uncover and operationalize new assets and platforms for BP&E sales team to monetize by working with internal stakeholders (e.g. Public Affairs, Technology, Marketing)

  • Deliver product plans including roadmaps, revenue & margin forecasts, supply & demand analysis, and pricing, working in conjunction with BP&E leadership, Sales Operations and training. 

  • Provide data-driven recommendations for future BP&E product lines, platforms, assets, and services.

  • Identify, recommend, and operationalize new sales initiatives to drive top of funnel; including aggregator relationships, agency partnerships, new categories of focus, specific leads, etc.

  • Help identify the appropriate buildings, amenities and associated operational process for partnership & event execution, aligning client needs with member experience.  

  • Work closely with the technology team and 3rd party vendors to deliver product improvements and operational plans.

  • Partner with existing and future third party vendors and agencies to develop larger sales pitches and uncover new areas of opportunity (in partnership with Senior BP&E leadership)

  • Analyze Medallia survey results to recommend improvements for corporate events or other members services that are positioned as a sellable asset. 

  • Identify new external partners as necessary to maximize client exposure in partnership with senior BP&E leadership

-Go-to-Market

  • Create go-to-market strategies and plans to drive awareness and ensure sales teams are equipped with the right training, collateral, and sales tools to effectively represent the products and engage with potential customers.

  • Work with marketing and BP&E senior leadership to develop sales decks, case studies, sizzle reels, and other materials

  • Ensure current content is reflected on BP&E external communication platforms (eg.,wework.com/events and wework.com/brandpartnerships) 

  • Help onboard new salespeople and ensure they are up to speed on sales opportunities

  • Partner with our data team to use analytics to identify underperforming products or regions, scale products that have demonstrated market fit, and drive global sales adoption.

  • Partner with data team & 3rd party research firm (if applicable) to identify and maintain current insight on member demographics and lifestyle preferences to be leveraged in sales communications.

Requirements:

-Must have strong product management experience and familiarity with core product management concepts & frameworks

  • Fast learner and ability to hit the ground running

  • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple points of contact

  • Should have product launch experience and experience taking new concepts and ideas to the customer in a B2B or B2B2C environment

  • Should have experience distilling complex concepts and presenting to multiple stakeholders

  • Should have experience working with global teams

  • Familiarity with real estate a plus

  • Experience in regulated industries a plus
