Hi, we’re Bloom & Wild. Founded in 2013, our mission back then was to make sending and receiving flowers the joy that it should be, by harnessing technology, brand and letterbox delivery. Together, we’ve fulfilled over 20 million deliveries (and counting!), making us the largest direct to consumer flower business in Europe.

We announced £75 million Series D funding in 2021 and that same year acquired bloomon in The Netherlands and Bergamotte in France. Now home to a family of 3 beautiful brands, we're expanding our gifting offering to other categories like cakes, candles and cocktails. This is all part of our ambition to build Europe's #1 direct to consumer gifting destination.

🛠️ Product Team
The role of the product team at Bloom & Wild is to create value for our customers and for Bloom & Wild by developing user-facing (e.g. website, apps) and internal digital products (e.g. warehouse technologies). We are a team of 16 people including Product Managers, Product Designers and Product & Tech Operations who report to the Chief Product Officer with a team located in London, Amsterdam and fully remote. Over 70% of our Product team identify as female.

We have 7 squads that work in fortnightly sprints to deliver outcome focussed quarterly OKRs. Each of these squads is responsible for all the strategic decision making within their Product area with an associated Product Manager.

💻 What you’ll be doing
As a Product Manager in the Production & Procurement domain, you will ensure that we build internal systems that will allow our range to grow and evolve as well as allow our beautiful products to be procured (i.e order stems), produced (i.e assembling bouquets) and delivered on time and bring delight to our customers. This is particularly important as we extend our range in a sustainable and profitable way to include a wider range of designs and gifts such as candles, diffusers, fragrances and hampers.

You’ll do this by owning our internal procurement, production and fulfilment systems and ensuring that they can scale to deliver our stretching business goals. We are a rapidly growing, international business and you will need to balance high levels of ambiguity and autonomy whilst solving some of our biggest operational challenges.

You will work with stakeholders across the business, including our Flowers, Logistics and Warehouse Operations Teams to identify, prioritise and develop solutions to our range expansion challenges:

- Accurate ordering and receiving of stems of the highest quality that meet our sustainability requirements.
- Enabling a scalable and efficient bouquet production that can handle a wider range of designs.
- Supporting a repeatable and flexible fulfilment, including printing of our range of greeting cards and labelling of our beautiful boxes.

You will also help support our own delivery network, which will include planning the delivery routes with our partner Hubs and efficient long-haul of our bouquets.

As we grow our company (in terms of the volume of our customers, our product range and the countries we are active in) with a focus on profitability, we need systems that will grow and evolve with us. This will involve optimising existing systems, like stem ordering and bouquet production planning, to make sure we buy the correct stem inventory and distribute our production volumes in the most efficient way, as well as implementing or integrating with new systems that will improve our ability to accurately receive and store our stems.

Looking toward automation and efficiency, we are looking for a new colleague who is passionate about operational excellence. With the help of the product team, this role is a great opportunity to hone your product skills and work with a varied range of stakeholders.

You will help define and lead the product roadmap that will support our growth aspirations.

You will help define and lead the product roadmap that will support our growth aspirations with includes:

  • Proactively engage stakeholders to collaboratively identify, prioritise and solve the most important customer and business problems.
  • Creating a Production & Procurement product roadmap and shaping quarterly OKRs to enable the scaling of our business.
  • Understanding the impact our procurement, production and fulfilment  tools have on creating an outstanding customer experience, by using quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Collaborating with our range and logistics teams by following and taking part in their processes to see the opportunities for improvement.
  • With a squad technical lead, leading a squad of 6 colleagues to improve our Production and Procurements management systems.
  • Supporting the launch of an expanded product range as well as managing our tools across a network of warehouses.
  • Work with senior stakeholders and engineers to find innovative solutions that seamlessly integrate with our operational process with user friendly software and hardware.
  • Gather best practices and keep track of technologies and software solutions of third parties that can help in driving the B&W Group’s smarter production and procurement  tooling (like a IMS).
  • Communicating regular product updates to leadership and the wider business.
  • Collaborating with the data science team to build data-driven system

✅ You’ll love this role if you have…

  • 2-3 years of proven experience working as a Product Manager/(Technical) Product Owner.
  • Outcome driven - you’re enthusiastic, passionate and keen to deliver impactful results.
  • You love to collaborate, and are at your best when working cross-functionally with other teams to unlock value.
  • You’re excited about problem-solving and love to take a logical and collaborative approach to finding solutions.
  • A data-driven decision maker - you love to understand the data and derive insights.
  • Communication & relationship management - you have collaborative style that enables you to work with a range of different people and teams and allows for open and inclusive discussion.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment would be a plus

  • These are some of the skills and experience we think will enable success in this role, but please don’t worry if you are missing some of these. We’re committed to building a team made up of different strengths, skills and experiences, so if you’re excited about our values, passionate about what you do and would like to join us in doing things more thoughtfully, we’d love to hear from you.
