Nextdoor is where you connect to the neighborhoods that matter to you so you can belong. Our purpose is to cultivate a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on. Neighbors around the world turn to Nextdoor daily to receive trusted information, give and get help, get things done, and build real-world connections with those nearby — neighbors, businesses, and public services. Today, neighbors rely on Nextdoor in more than 305,000 neighborhoods across 11 countries.

Meet Your Future Neighbors

The Ad Platform at Nextdoor connects organizations and businesses with their local neighbors. Advertisers should be able to easily create, manage, and optimize ad campaigns with Nextdoor’s ad products. The Revenue Product Team is looking for an experienced Product Manager to build out a targeting and audience strategy that gives Neighbors the best advertising experience with the most relevant ads.

At Nextdoor, we offer a warm and inclusive work environment that embraces a hybrid employment experience, providing a flexible experience for our valued employees.

The Impact You’ll Have

As a Product Manager on the Ads Team, you’ll lead a cross-functional team of developers, product marketing, customer analytics, and data scientists to build the roadmap for targeting and audiences. You’ll work closely with user research and sales to understand the needs of advertisers (both big and small) and neighbors. As Nextdoor continues to build out our own proprietary ad server, you will be responsible for navigating the migration of audiences across platforms and executing the targeting and audiences roadmap for the newly launched Nextdoor Ad Server.

You will build relationships with product teams across Nextdoor and identify opportunities to improve ad relevance while leading your engineering team to ensure execution and high quality delivery. You will be a champion for helping our small and large customers build their businesses and ultimately receive value from advertising on Nextdoor.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional Product and Engineering teams to craft and execute the targeting and audiences roadmap
  • Bring a strong customer perspective and understanding of advertisers’ targeting and audience needs
  • Build tooling for internal teams to simplify workflows for audience creation and management
  • Own the migration strategy for targeting and audiences to the Nextdoor Ad Server
  • Build out a scaled first party audience offering utilizing Nextdoor’s unique proprietary data
  • Develop and launch ad targeting products that incorporate machine learning
  • Improve the ads experience for Nextdoor neighbors
  • Grow overall ad revenue for Nextdoor
  • Participate in in-person Nextdoor events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and other team building exercises
  • Build in-person relationships with team members and contribute to the KIND culture that Nextdoor values

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • 5-10+ years of experience of product management with a minimum of 2-5+ years in advertising or ad tech
  • Track record of taking products through the software development lifecycle, from conception to launch, to ongoing performance measurement and optimization
  • High level of fluency with ad platforms, ad industry trends, and terminology
  • Ability to understand the bigger picture while also interested in diving into the details
  • Experience using customer insights and data to inform product strategy and prioritization
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, EE, Mathematics or Statistics, or equivalent practical experience a plus
