As an early designer at Orb, you’ll drive the end-to-end design process, from early discovery research through to implementation. You’ll own solutioning and vision setting for Orb’s revenue reporting and invoicing products in partnership with your team

Day-to-day this might include:
Leading user research sessions to understand workflows, discover pain points, and gather feedback on prototypes.
Brainstorming with engineers and product managers on solution shape for new initiatives
Participating in design crit—proactively seeking and providing feedback
Partnering with engineers to ensure implementation matches design intent
Collaborating with other designers to contribute to and evolve our design system
5+ years of professional design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS
You excel at distilling complex workflows into intuitive user experiences
You are a strong communicator that thrives with cross-functional collaboration and are excited about collaborating with product and engineering counterparts
You work iteratively, sharing early and often
You think in systems and are constantly evaluating how your design decisions interact with the entire product ecosystem
You are able to break large design initiatives into smaller, shippable pieces without sacrificing usability.
You have an exceptional eye for detail
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate (with support from Orb)
Bonus points if you:
Get excited about content design/UX copywriting
Have experience working on products that are designed for accounting and finance personas
In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we don’t use leveling titles at Orb. You will not see us use prefixes like “Senior” in our job descriptions.
