We’re looking for a Product Designer II to join the Developer Experience team. This team is focused on making software delivery faster, safer, and more efficient for developers across the globe. You’ll work closely with PMs and engineers to design tools that help teams test, integrate, and deploy code with confidence. Your work will simplify complex developer workflows and directly shape how engineering teams build and ship software at scale.

You’ll take end-to-end ownership of your design work, while also helping other designers communicate ideas and build support for their decisions across the company.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with PMs and engineers to understand how developers work
  • Design experiences that bring value quickly from early ideas and prototypes to polished workflows and shipped features
  • Work closely with other designers across Developer Experience to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
  • Contribute to and elevate the quality of visual and interaction design in the product
  • Participate in user research, usability testing, and customer feedback sessions to continuously improve the product.
  • Communicate your design decisions clearly across design, product, and engineering stakeholders

Who You Are:

  • You have 3–5 years of experience as a Product Designer, ideally working on complex SaaS or developer tools.
  • You’re comfortable tackling technical domains, and you have a knack for simplifying complex problems into clear, usable solutions.
  • You’re fluent in modern design tools and systems, and you understand how to balance craft with iteration speed.
  • You thrive in cross-functional collaboration and know how to influence product strategy with design insights.
  • You’re curious, proactive, and motivated by building products that improve developers’ day-to-day workflows.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, take initiative, and enjoy working on high-impact projects
  • Experience designing for developer platforms, CI/CD tools, or test management systems is a plus.

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
  • Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking
  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups)
  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our internal panel discussions
  • Free, global mental health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+
  • Competitive global benefits
