WHOOP is seeking a Product Designer with strong research and interaction design fundamentals to own and evolve the WHOOP product experience. As a key part of the product team, you’ll help define, iterate, and evolve business-critical features from concept to launch.
As part of the WHOOP Growth team, you feel comfortable working at a fast pace to drive new member acquisition, retention, as well as accessory sales via our storefront. Web-based experiences are second nature; native mobile experience is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and optimize intuitive e-commerce flows (product pages, cart, checkout, etc) that delight members across web and app
- Visually communicate ideas and iterations with peers and stakeholders through sketches, wireframes, flows, mockups, and prototypes
- Leverage qualitative findings and quantitative data to inform direction, advocate for the member, and drive business growth
- Design for A/B experimentation to examine divergent ideas, validate patterns and flows, and continuously learn
- Focus on driving a specific user behavior with a metric-driven outcome and clearly communicate key messages to the audience
- Champion the member perspective by mapping designs back to user needs and iterating based on customer feedback sourced autonomously and with our UX Researchers
- Be a strong thought partner to Product Managers to ideate high-impact opportunities and plan design artifacts
- Collaborate dynamically with Engineering partners to build a web component library, QA new releases, and elevate visual consistency
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years of experience working as a product designer in the field designing for responsive web and consumer-facing e-commerce
- Experience with common design tools and methodologies (e.g. Figma, wireframing, workflow diagrams, prototyping etc)
- Experience collaborating with product managers and engineering teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced startup-like environment
- A portfolio with case studies of e-commerce flows and A/B experiments that you’ve created and implemented with demonstrated impact
- Experience creating component library UI with A11y compliance (preferred)
- Curious and passionate about the fitness and wellness space
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
