Today, Product Design is a part of the global product division at Agicap. The design team is split into design studios to respond to our different product needs.

⭐We are looking for a Design Manager to strengthen our scaling Product Design Organisation.

What you'll do

Mission
Take care of the design studio staff and push design to the next level inside and outside the company.

Objectives

Work collaboratively
Vertical: You will manage the Product Designers (individual contributors) integrated into a product line.
Horizontal: You will work closely with Lead Product Designers of your product lines and other Design Managers to foster the more relevant options.
Transversal and cross-functional: You will be responsible for the collaboration and pro-activity mindset of Designers and yours with their stakeholders: Product Management team and Tech teams.

People Management

You will manage up to 10 Product Designers, meaning: guiding, listening, helping people to grow.
Grow the team: You will hire, onboard, train, and off-board product designers.
Career follow-up: You will ensure the development of designers with appropriate assets (meetings, evaluations, objectives).
Managing administration tasks: You will manage vacations, expenses.

Design Strategy and culture

You will foster a continuous improvement mindset.
You will ensure all team activities are in-line with the tribe's objectives with the help of the Lead Product designers
You will participate in the product and design vision, support them and inspire them with you teams end your stakeholders.
You will identify design impact indicators to ensure its monitoring and performance.
You will promote and spread design culture into the company and externally.

Product Design

You will be responsible for implementing and using appropriate methodologies and processes to ensure good qualitative design.

What we are looking for

6+ years of relevant design experience in digital products, 2+ years in people management.
Leadership skills and attitude.
A diverse portfolio of work personally designed and shipped, along with examples of work directed and delivered by your team.
Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies and best practices.
Advocate of taking/giving feedback at all costs at any levels.
Experience leading teams in framing and solving complex problems to uncover new value and innovation.
Strong customer advocacy with a penchant for data and business-informed design.
Experience in building/leading SaaS products in a start-up/scale-up environment would be better.
Ready to be challenged by the scale of a large scale design team expansion.
Manager and not an individual contributor role.
Fluent in English (spoken + written). Designers in the team are from all Europe.
