We are seeking a Product Designer who will push boundaries, elevate our design standards, and make a significant impact on product execution and quality within Platform Engineering at Adyen.
The Platform Engineering group is responsible for building a technology ecosystem of products for engineers and developers at Adyen to autonomously build and empower secure, scalable, and reliable applications. Our products and services enable the growth of our core business while helping engineers deliver faster with self-service tools that provide an amazing developer experience.
The product designer will work closely with the other designers, engineers and product managers to define the desired experience for the tools our colleagues use for self service.
What you’ll do:
- Work alongside Product and Tech to think through and strategise the long term vision of our internal engineering tools.
- Find creative ways to automate and speed up our internal processes to help Adyen reach its full potential.
- Validate and substantiate your own work and ideas and translate them into clear solutions.
- Bring design thinking processes and a customer-centric mindset to technical discussions. Be the user champion in all projects.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gain deeper knowledge on the problems to solve and gather feedback to improve the user experience.
- Create wireframes, designs and prototypes to communicate design choices and guide development during implementation.
- Push boundaries of product & visual execution and try out new ideas (and fail) regularly. You have a strong ability to dream big and ship small.
- Present your work effectively and articulately communicate design choices and value to other designers, as well as stakeholders.
- Aim for high transparency, inviting and welcoming feedback and demonstrating an open attitude for collaboration.
Who you are:
- You are highly skilled in developing SaaS product experiences (B2B experience is a plus).
- You have a special affinity for working on engineering products, developer tools, and other technology-heavy solutions.
- You are curious to try new solutions to problems, you’re open to different perspectives and have a well-developed self-awareness.
- You’re not afraid to speak up or voice potentially controversial ideas that you think are important for our users.
- You have a solid understanding and experience with design and prototyping tools, in particular Figma and Figjam.
- You have strong knowledge on Design Systems, including how to consume and contribute to them.
- You have the ability to independently generate production assets that consider accessibility and show a superb attention to detail.
- You thrive working on egoless, you are a strong team player.
