As our Product Design Manager, you’ll grow and support a team of highly talented and passionate Product Designers during a period of rapid growth at Vanta. You’ll be a thought-leader in shaping our Design practice as we continue to scale, impacting our design methodology, and building an inclusive and creative team with a strong culture of feedback and execution.

What you’ll do as a Product Design Manager at Vanta:
- Manage and mentor a growing team of high performing Product Designers, providing them the expertise, coaching, and support needed to perform at their best
- Evolve the Design team playbook by developing and implementing best practices in design process, rituals and execution
- Grow the Design team at Vanta, through leading recruitment and on-boarding of new Product Designers
- Establish strong partnership with Product and Engineering that instills a strong sense of joint ownership and effective collaboration
- Partner with the Head of Design to create a high-performing and energized product design team
How to be successful in this role:
- Have several years of experience as a design manager with a track record of successful teams
- Have several years of experience with hands-on product design but comfortable in a hands-off role
- Have a passion for mentoring product designers and their collaborators with an empowering, inclusive personal style
- Enjoy working through challenges arising on product teams and guiding them to partner on good outcomes
- Bring your personal, unique contribution to establishing a vibrant, inclusive design culture within Vanta
- Partner with other design leaders on strategic planning and to continuously improve the Design organization

About Vanta
We started Vanta in 2016 as Equifax had lost every American's social security number, Home Depot had leaked its customers' credit card numbers to hackers, and Facebook admitted that it irresponsibly sent user data to third parties who tried to influence the US election. It was clear that security and privacy had become mainstream issues, and that we all increasingly relied on cloud services to store everything from our personal photos to our communications at work.
Vanta's mission is to be the layer of trust on top of these services, and to secure the internet, increase trust in software companies, and keep consumer data safe.
We do this by building an automated head of security for technology companies, and we use that system to both help a company secure itself and to prove their security to others.
If we succeed in our mission, it should feel irresponsible for users to put data into a product that isn't certified by Vanta, and irresponsible for companies to collect data without using Vanta to secure and monitor themselves.
