Product Design Lead - Engagement

As Product Design Lead you will be part of shaping the future of financial independence for millions of customers. You’ll be managing and guiding several product designers through the entire product development process, partnering with Product and Engineering leaders to ensure stellar execution of your strategy to help shape a new paradigm for wealth management.

The Engagement teams are foundational for making our customers’ dreams happen. Focused on empowering customers to learn and master the awareness needed to grow their investment, Engagement owns the many interactions related with portfolio management, from asset discovery to trading opportunities, and learning about new financial products. In a few words, everything and anything that will keep customers in love with us.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Experience Design and Product Experience Principal to grow and mature Bitpanda’s product design team, while being responsible for setting experience goals, direction and strategy that empowers your team with clarity and purpose.

What you’ll do:

• Identify the right problems to solve and contribute to the Adoption product area roadmap by understanding and advocating for the needs and aspirations of our customers;
• Lead the vision and design of your product area alongside product and engineering leadership, by building positive and collaborative relationships as well as continuously raising the bar as an effective leader of positive change;
• Cultivate design and research processes, design culture and community to increase collaboration and efficiency across teams;
• Support the growth of your product design team members, by hiring, coaching, mentoring and developing them through constant guidance and feedback;
• Provide XD leadership across the definition, design, launch and maintenance stages of our product;
• Using facilitative leadership skills to drive the best outcome for all your partners, inspiring, motivating, giving purpose and empowering your team to be confident in the why’s behind what we build;

Who we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of experience leading and inspiring a team in a multidisciplinary UX environment, inclusive of research, design, and content; 
• A track record of creating beautiful product experiences as a creative and visual leader: you have strengths in visual design, interaction and product design;
• Demonstrated ability to think at a high level about product strategy but also act with speed and precision to identify and deliver the tactical pieces that realize it: you can understand business goals and product metrics to drive design roadmaps and product decisions
• Expertise in the end-to-end iterative design process, from discovery to delivery: how to drive and use design research, journey mapping, wire-framing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals to achieve human-centered design solutions
• Storyteller, with strong ability to present map things out to explain them to others and build shared understanding;
• A keen interest in a new paradigm for financial freedom;
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
