Product Design Intern, Design Systems (Summer 2023)

At Ripple we are transforming the world of finance with innovative crypto solutions that make money move as fast as information moves today. We’re looking for a product designer who has a portfolio with strong visual design and a focus on craft, as well as a critical eye for detail and a desire to learn. As a Product Design Systems intern, you’ll be collaborating with the broader Ripple design team and their partners on a variety of challenging and exciting projects.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Support the design and extension of the Ripple Product Design System (RPDS).
• Collaborate with cross functional teams across product, engineering, and brand design to define product design systems solutions for our products
• Create and document components for RPDS
• Partner with other product designers to design new product features and enhancements
• Express design capabilities in diverse ways with brand, interactive, motion, etc.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Portfolio of work featuring strong product, brand, interactive and typographic designs
• Good communicator and team player; a desire and eagerness to learn from and share with others
• High energy and positive can-do attitude
• Effective time management with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of typography and grid systems
• Proficient in Figma
• 1-2 years of work experience or previous internship experience a plus

Bonus Points

• FinTech experience, specifically on payments
• A passion for crypto and blockchain technology
• Knowledge with motion graphics and animation
• Knowledge with Web technologies (e.g. HTML/CSS, Javascript)
