Within the Lakehouse Platform, Delta Lake is an open, reliable, performant and secure data storage and management layer for your data lake that eliminates data silos by providing a single home for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to make analytics simple and accessible across the enterprise.

The Databricks Data & Analytics Product Marketing team has an exciting new end-to-end product marketing role to lead product portfolio marketing for Delta Lake. You will report to the Senior Director of Product Marketing and develop the marketing strategy for how Databricks will uniquely approach product marketing for Delta Lake. You will work closely with all teams within the Marketing organization, engineering and technical sales teams to promote adoption of Databricks and the open source technologies that underpin the platform.

The impact you will have:

  • Own the value proposition, messaging, collateral and GTM for Delta Lake and land it across channels - including web, field, partners and events.
  • Create an always-on go-to-market plan, and pilot new programs with a strong focus on winning mindshare to double the awareness (e.g. registrations, downloads, views), demand ($ pipeline) and product adoption (usage) of our platform.
  • Build a strong and collaborative partnership with our engineering team to create a regular rhythm of landing product news and deliver high impact announcements across the portfolio.
  • Increase global reach by 100% by working with field marketing teams, developer advocacy, industry, events and partner organization to help scale the business globally.
  • Build trust with enterprises and digital natives by publishing 10 new Delta Lake recognizable references in the first year

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing or solution marketing for an enterprise software or SaaS company.
  • Portfolio of impactful marketing content, sales enablement materials and a history of creating successful marketing programs.
  • Experience with cloud and open source is a must.
  • Experience in data engineering, data science or analytics is an advantage.
  • Experience presenting at conferences/seminars and customer engagements
  • Experience marketing to enterprises, start-ups or developers
  • BS in Marketing or Computer Science, Engineering, coupled with relevant professional experience
