About the Marketing Designer role:
The Marketing Designer is primarily responsible for designing external-facing campaign elements and materials that engage OpenGov’s customers and prospects, maintain the visual brand, and advance OpenGov as the leading govtech company.
The role requires cross-functional collaboration to design and create assets across digital and print elements, including: ebooks, website and landing pages, ads, email templates, print materials, event signage, swag, and other visual brand elements. The role reports into a design and content team.
Marketing Designer Responsibilities:
• Design ebook, print, web, and event materials that adhere to guidelines and showcase insights effectively (both digital and physical assets)
• Effectively intake, plan for/communicate around, and deliver on design requests through effective sprint planning, time management, and articulate communications to stakeholders
• Develop basic web components, such as updating the corporate site or building landing pages from templates
• Develop brand-aligned templates and reusable assets to be used and updated by individuals outside of Marketing (e.g., presentation templates)
• Maintain brand standards in all designs and update the design system and guidelines as the brand evolves
• Keep current on new media trends and strategies to identify innovative ways of delivering content.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 2-3+ years of design
experience.Proficiency in the Adobe Creative suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as well as Figma or other design and wireframing tools required• Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
• Knowledge and proficiency in HTML + CSS is preferred
• Proven ability to manage and incorporate feedback from multiple project stakeholdersGood file management practices
• A portfolio of work showcasing past work
