ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is seeking a Design Operations Manager to help optimize the efficiency and output of our Product Design team processes and resources! This role will report to the Senior Manager, Design Operations and will sit centrally within our Product Design org, supporting design teams and processes across our connected fitness products (Strength (Guide), Cardio (Bike, Tread, Row), Games), Ecommerce, and our Peloton App. The Design Operations Manager works collaboratively with Product Managers, Product Designers, User Researchers, Content Designers, Product Analysts, Engineers, and TPMs to understand, plan, track, and deliver user-facing products and experiences. 

This person will develop and utilize their internal relationships to identify process, tooling, and workflow improvements for the Product Design organization that enable designers to work efficiently within their teams and to grow their skills as individuals. For projects in their purview, they will have an understanding of the goings-on for all the in-flight and upcoming work on their respective roadmap – and can provide valuable information back to the team, optimize the path towards completing projects, and call out any issues or risks to efficient and effective project completion.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

● Partner with Senior Manager, Design Operations to define primary stakeholders, determine scope, and influence leadership and cross-functional support for design programs based on the predefined project goals.
● Define and standardize new processes from the ground up to streamline collaboration between stakeholders and manage design partnerships across multiple teams.
● Drive centrally-led design programs to ensure the program team meets deadlines, tracking against design milestones and following up on action items through owning all program documentation and operations including communication plans, forums, and meeting cadences as required.
● Take the lead on ensuring projects move forward seamlessly and efficiently by coordinating (and often attending) Product Design reviews and check-ins.
● Track progress throughout the duration of a project (from definition to launch and beyond) with a mindfulness toward dependencies, and facilitate effective communication within and across teams.
● Maintain documentation and tracking tools that allow for quick and efficient understanding of resource capacity and project status.


YOU BRING TO PELOTON

● Has 4+ years working in Design Ops or Design Program Management in an agile software development environment, or similar experience.
● Can demonstrate a deep understanding of Product Design and User Research processes and deliverables.
● Understands the agile development process and has experience working with technical project managers.
● Bonus: experience working with design systems.
● Bonus: experience working alongside hardware design teams.
● Bonus: experience working on international projects.
● Passionate about product design – a strong advocate for designers as well as the users they design for.
● Knows what it takes to get products and features shipped.
● Flexible to the unique work styles and strengths/weaknesses of each team and team member.
● Motivated to continuously seek opportunities to create efficiencies and improve team performance.
● Ability to quickly learn and adopt new project management tools.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$172,100$223,800 USD
