This opportunity is a part of Blink's Embedded practice which supports long-term opportunities with some of Blink’s largest client partners.
Duration:4-6 months with potential for long term.
Location:Remote with the ability to work on-site in the Bellevue, WA or Denver, CO offices occasionally.
What you’ll do
- Lead design and execution of usability lab studies of products and services with representative end users.
- Lead analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and presentation of findings in a meaningful and easy to understand manner.
- Lead collaboration with designers, developers and device manufacturers for optimal and timely resolution of usability findings and recommendations.
- Lead heuristic expert evaluations and cognitive walkthroughs of new products and services at all stages from concept to prototype to product.
- Lead planning and execution of focus groups and field trials.
- Manage research vendors on externally assisted projects.
- Maintain status of peer recognized contributor to user experience industry through papers, lectures, book chapters and regular participation in SIGs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years’ primary research experience
- Understanding of theories and principles of user-centered design, with an emphasis on mobile/native app design and connected experiences
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Background surrounding usability needs within apps
- Ability to present confidently to leadership
- Ability to coach and mentor others
- BA in Research, Psychology or related field
