The Role:
Verbal+Visual is seeking a motivated and experienced Product Manager. In this role you will be responsible for helping our clients navigate the ever-changing e-commerce environment in order to successfully grow their businesses. We are looking for a strong candidate who has a proven track record in all areas of e-commerce including content, acquisition/traffic, conversion, and retention. In addition, you will be tasked with helping shape and refine processes to ensure an effective and growth-minded strategy department.
In your role, you will report to the Director of Product, and to Associate Directors. You’ll be expected to work independently but will have opportunities to supervise and grow the work of more junior colleagues.
You will:
- Understand the full picture of a client's business and their goals for growth
- Lead the creation of specs and requirements documentation with clear KPIs for success
- Strong technical understanding of Shopify to build out technical requirements in tandem with our development team
- Analyze analytics reports to highlight areas of opportunity and growth for an account and clearly communicate these opportunities with the client team.
- Ongoing review on 3rd party platforms and partners to ensure we are recommending the best solutions for our clients
- Present and communicate to clients anything related to strategic recommendations
- Partner with the internal team on new e-commerce projects on Shopify Plus, from initial discovery and development phases through implementation, deployment, and optimization of the site.
- Independently provide strategic roadmaps and recommendations for complex e-commerce needs and omnichannel experiences
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment to meet project objectives.
- Maintain documentation across projects.
- Validate implementation of requirements with UAT.
- Identify areas of opportunity for efficiencies around process and put together relevant documentation and educational materials to help educate all relevant team members
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a digital product manager within a relevant agency or industry
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices
- Strong understanding of analytics
- Problem solver and solutions oriented
- Exceptional communication skills
