Provi is innovating the 240-billion dollar alcohol industry—do you want to be part of something game-changing?We were a hungry team in 2016 when we started and we’re still a hungry team, living our values—Host, Serve, Deliver and Celebrate—every day. We make sure that as the company grows, our people grow too and we’d love to have you on board.

Frequently cited statistics show that women and underrepresented groups apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. But guess what? No one ever meets 100% of the qualifications. Trust your experience and apply!

Provi has achieved product-market fit across the three tiers of the beverage industry with a simple premise: make beverage ordering easier for retailers, distributors and suppliers. The SAAS and Enterprise product portfolio focuses specifically on customers -- both buyers and sellers -- who have come to Provi through one of our enterprise sales teams: distributor partnerships and national retailer accounts. The portfolio consists of product and engineering teams focused on Distributor Tools, Partner Integrations and National Retailer Accounts.

As the Lead Product Manager for the SaaS and Enterprise tools at Provi, you will build out the next generation of tools and services for our integrated partners to help them grow their sales and market share, while working alongside a team of engineers, designers and product managers all working to build the simplest way to buy and sell alcohol in the beverage industry. This is a player-coach role; you will be managing product managers directly, while also working closely with your own engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Think holistically about your product portfolio, from different distributor experiences (both platform and user-facing) to revenue generation for the line of business as a whole. Specifically, you’ll be accountable for the success of the full portfolio.. You will also have dotted line responsibility for your portfolio’s overall success metrics, including revenue targets.
  • Be a player coach. Manage, coach and grow a team of product managers focused on your portfolio.
  • Work with a team of engineers, designers and other product managers to define, prototype and launch innovative solutions that meet needs of customers and business goals in scalable ways-
  • With input and context from other product teams and business stakeholders, own roadmap-building, prioritization and execution. This is not an optimization role; the Lead Product Manager will be instrumental in taking our SaaS and Enterprise tools from 0 to 1. -
  • Alongside the Provi sales team, maintain excellent relationships with our distributor and enterprise partners. In this role, you will frequently interact with high-value customers in sales calls and user interviews.
  • Keep the user problem that you’re solving top of mind -- and ensure that the rest of the organization is as well. Intake user feedback -- both qualitative (user research studies, surveys, and focus groups) and quantitative (onboarding funnels, usage trends) -- to determine new feature sets and iterations on existing functionality.- Be accountable for outcomes not output.  Understand the business opportunity, the ROI of what you’re proposing and the impact of what you’ve built. Communicate that impact to your team and the broader organization. Do not ship it and forget it. What you do matters.
  • Mentor and guide the product manager(s) within your portfolio. Offer best practices for everything from discovery techniques to product mechanics (user story writing, working with design) to roadmap building. -
  • Set performance expectations for your team. Encourage them improve over time, while also ensuring they understand where they are and how to get better. Regularly give feedback. - Be both a teacher and student to your peers in the product team. Help the product team as a whole continue to improve. Help facilitate and maintain our team dynamic: open, encouraging, productive. Lead with empathy.
  • Above all strive to make the Provi team, business and product great.

Preferred Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in execution of tech-related projects preferably in an Agile software development environment. -
  • Understanding of marketplaces and commerce-related products (payments, advertising, merchandising and more) from user-facing experiences to the underlying APIs and algorithms that power them. Knowledge of the alcohol beverage industry is not necessary, but a huge plus.
  • Experience managing high-performing product managers. You are not a first-time manager.
  • Proven track record of getting things done and done well with lots of examples of projects you've spearheaded.-
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making experience. -
  • Amazing written and verbal communication skills.-
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the grit to turn uncertainty into action
