Location Details:

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

Join Our Team

As a Lead Product Designer for the Commerce experience, you will help sellers offer omni-commerce capabilities and seamlessly onboard their customers to grow their businesses. You will design an intuitive and seamless design, derived from deeply understanding customer needs and competitive analysis for new and existing products. You will create and deliver the user experience to meet those needs, and partner with product and engineering to build and implement solutions. We’ll count on you to independently lead product discovery, ideation, alignment, delivery, and ongoing iterative improvement. We believe in data, so you’ll partner closely with product managers and analysts to demonstrate the results that your creative designs deliver in both customer satisfaction and business performance.

What you'll get to do...

  • Craft Engaging Experiences - Support the customers’ needs and our business objectives by solving problems in unusual and innovative ways.
  • Communicate and Collaborate- Understand technical limitations, where to take liberties and how to communicate with engineers, product managers, designers, researchers and writers across different teams and offices.
  • Design for Scale- Create experiences across multiple touch points, mediums, products, regions and customers without sacrificing consistency and simplicity.
  • Prototype, Test, Iterate- Be comfortable concepting, working in low fidelity and high fidelity as well as testing, learning and iterating on designs.
  • Define & Document- Create artifacts that articulate our users’ needs, product principles and design details necessary to bring something to life with our engineers
  • Contribute and Invest- In our growing design community as well as customer research and discovery

Your experience should include...

  • 6+ years of experience crafting design experiences and shipping products
  • A rock-solid portfolio that demonstrates skills in user experience of web and mobile applications, and a proven track record of delivering products to market
  • Strong visual design and prototyping skills
  • Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams including product, engineering, and end user groups
  • Expertise in communicating, one that can encourage and sell a vision
  • A self-starter mentality who wants to make GoDaddy’s applications visually appealing and easy to use.
  • A Deep understanding of design tools like: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Usability Tools
  • A passion for small businesses

You might also have...

  • Experience building software for user experience design on web and mobile platforms
  • BA or MA in interaction design, communication design, industrial design, HCI, or equivalent
