Batch is redesigning how customers interact with brands in the physical world, building infrastructure for contextual digital experiences on mobile devices. Batch Tags are interfaces in the physical world that include QR codes and NFC-enabled tags, integrated into packaging, products, marketing campaigns, and physical environments.
We are in the middle of a significant shift in the ways that consumers are using their phones to engage and shop in the physical world. Batch integrates with leading e-commerce tools to help customers solve common challenges in 10 seconds or less.
Everything we build is optimized for speed, simplicity, and a feeling of magic.
Demo our mobile product by scanning the Batch Tag above with an iPhone.
In 2022, we will launch many new interactions and integrations, and have a goal to launch billions of Batch Tags into the world — integrated into CPG packaging, marketing assets, advertising campaigns, and beyond. Reorder your favorite skincare product by scanning the packaging. Update the ship date for your coffee subscription by scanning a QR code. Send your favorite coffee to a friend with one tap. Upload a video to get help with an appliance you just purchased. It shouldn’t take more than a few taps and a few seconds to achieve any of these goals.
Batch is backed by Coatue, 776 (Alexis Ohanian), Shrug Capital, Ryan Hoover, The Chainsmokers, and many others.

Batch is looking to hire a lead product designer. You will be the second hire on our product team, working closely with our CEO and founding designer.
You'll be an integral part of our core team, designing web and mobile products that help our brands drive engagement with their customers. As a leader on our product team, this role will have a big impact on the company: guiding the product direction, connecting with our customers, shaping our design systems, and hopefully helping us scale our design team over time.
Participate in product strategy — Immediately engage with the CEO and other product team members on our 2022 product strategy and help us strategize on a monthly basis to ensure we’re always experimenting on the most important things.
Own and design key products end-to-end — You’ll likely scope and design features on our core mobile app and/or our customer-facing, desktop, no-code design tools. We’re ideally looking for a designer that enjoys working cross-platform.
Think scalably — Without making our design system too formal (yet), you’ll help us think through and improve the information architecture of our platform to set us up to both expand the product surface area and grow the design team in a scalable way.
Our ideal candidate is ready to join as a senior designer, and wants to be hands-on at a high level of detail, but also be part of the leadership team and bring extensive product experience to the table as we shape our product roadmap.
Mobile design: You’ve designed interfaces for consumer mobile apps, ideally as part of a high-growth startup.
Web design: You’ve designed interactive products for the web and are up-to-date on UX best practices for desktop. Bonus points if you’ve worked on a modern no-code product or drag-and-drop builder tools.
Portfolio: You have a notable portfolio, showcasing your foundation in Typography, Interaction, and Visual Design
Prototyping: You’re able to develop animated or interactive prototypes as a means to communicate their designs with stakeholders
Collaborative: You enjoy coaching and collaborating with others.
