Junior Marketing Designer

The marketing design team at Wistia is uniquely positioned to dive into wide range of projects with a diverse set of design needs including brand identity, illustration, Wistia Studios’ show branding, advertisements, environmental design, and much more! Every day brings new and exciting work that is different than the last. We are a small, highly creative and collaborative team that celebrates great design and we are looking for a new member to join our team! As the marketing design team continues to grow our need for a junior marketing designer has increased dramatically. This position will have the opportunity to impact the design team through contributing to marketing design projects by creating all production design assets for web and print and by shaping our production design process. This member has the opportunity to partner with art directors and designers on the team to continue to grow their design skillset and will have the opportunity to grow their career with the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support vision and design requests of Marketing Design Director and Senior Marketing Designers
• Create production assets based on vision of senior team members
• Create production ready assets in alignment with Wistia design guidelines for
• Social media campaigns
• Email campaigns
• Wistia Studios Campaigns
• In-app and storefront imagery and illustrations
• Brand assets
• Internal/External Swag Requests
• Ads
• Interior/Exterior signage and office design assets
• Creates designs and produces design assets for small design projects that do not require design guidelines from Marketing Design Director or Senior Marketing Designers such as:
• One off email imagery requests
• In-app/storefront imagery
• Internal company swag

Qualifications

• 3+ years of real-world experience working on in-house marketing design teams and/or working with production agencies doing similar work
• Experience designing for website projects and marketing/advertising campaigns
• Strong background in creating production-ready assets for web and print
• Comfort with ambiguity
• Beginner’s mindset and curiosity about learning new things
• Is comfortable quickly and efficiently producing design assets for ideation or production
• Confidence communicating design decisions through:
• Verbal and written methods
• Prototypes when necessary
• Moodboards

Location/Remote Opportunities
We have a beautiful office in Cambridge, MA, but we're all working remotely (all 100+ of us) right now. So permanently remote applicants will be considered, but we'll prioritize local applicants, those willing to relocate, and those within 3 hours of EST.
