Head of Product, Ticketing, London

Live shows make us feel good. They’re a time to hang with our friends, discover new artists or lose ourselves on a dancefloor. We’re on a mission to bring all of this to more fans, more often – and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Head of Product to join our Product team to lead across a major strategic investment at the centre of fulfilling our mission. At DICE, you’ll be part of the company that’s redefining live entertainment. It’s a place where you can be yourself, influence the culture, and create work that you’re proud of.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head of Product to join the Dice product team, reporting directly to the CPO. You will be a core member of the product leadership team and will be responsible for supporting a complex B2B2C scope across multiple product managers. You will support these PMs in delivering against their goals, coaching them to constantly improve against the expectations we have and holding them accountable to delivering results for the customer and business.

The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience within product management with a track record of significant impact on the products they have worked on, as well as 2+ years of management of a team of product managers. They are likely to love the growth stage of a business, will identify with the “settler” PM archetype, and get a real buzz from figuring out how to rapidly scale a product that has already found significant traction.

You will

  • Develop and get buy-in to the strategy for becoming the world’s most successful independent ticketing company, translating it into clear milestones and objectives for your PMs to craft their roadmaps against.
  • Drive towards perfect execution across your teams, ensuring that every team is improving in its effectiveness of delivery to outcomes over time.
  • Have a PMM mindset in everything you do, to ensure that when we launch products that they are well positioned and adopted by the target customer.
  • Raise the bar for high performance in the product team, ensuring that you give effective coaching and timely feedback to help the PMs you support grow and succeed.
  • Foster a deep and nuanced understanding of the different customer groups we service, to ensure that any solution your teams develop answers the needs of that group whilst holding true to the values that make it uniquely DICE.
  • Work with the CPO to create a culture in which product managers can do the most impactful work of their careers - identifying and acting on opportunities to improve the product development culture.
  • Act as a player coach when necessary - getting your hands dirty to lean in and support on business critical projects.

You are

  • You love music, and you are passionate about our mission to bring more people together through live shows.
  • You are a strong coach who knows how to apply situational leadership principles in your approach to managing PMs
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced ambiguous environment where you and your teams will be set and held accountable to highly ambitious goals.
  • You have experience in delivering impact in a B2B2C product environment, and know how to balance the needs of each customer group to drive impact for the business.
  • You have a commercial mindset, and are focused on delivering products that meet both customer and business goals.
  • You are a storyteller who can create the right narrative to support and create alignment around your team’s ideas and plans at every level in an organisation.
  • You are data fluent and can coach your PMs in how and when to experiment vs when to utilise customer understanding and conviction.
  • You love to learn and are constantly looking for opportunities to grow yourself and your impact.
  • You act as an owner at all times and have a whatever-it-takes attitude to making your team successful.

You’ll need

  • 8+ years as a product manager with demonstrable impact while building successful consumer products.
  • Experience with Mobile Apps (bonus points for consumer marketplace experience!)
  • At least 2 years experience as a manager of multiple PMs across a wide scope.
  • Expertise across the full product development lifecycle in a PDE trio set up.
  • Proven ability to develop and coach high performing product teams.
