Nextdoor is where you connect to the neighborhoods that matter to you so you can belong. Our purpose is to cultivate a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on.
Neighbors around the world turn to Nextdoor daily to receive trusted information, give and get help, get things done, and build real-world connections with those nearby — neighbors, businesses, and public services. Today, neighbors rely on Nextdoor in more than 275,000 neighborhoods across 11 countries.
The Neighborhood Vitality pillar focuses on providing an active and welcoming platform for neighbors who want to invest in their communities. We focus on fostering a sense of belonging by building customized role-based tools for organizing and activating the community. In addition, we invest in trust and vitality through content moderation, member verification, privacy, settings, and trust & safety systems.
The Neighborhood Vitality team is core to the purpose of Nextdoor; to cultivate a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on. To cultivate a kinder world, the team confirms the identity of every stakeholder in the neighborhood (neighbors, organizations, businesses, agencies) and works to ensure that their data is safe, private, and secure. In addition, this team is responsible for making Nextdoor a welcoming platform that reflects the diversity of our neighborhoods and builds tools that enable neighbors to drive kind conversations through both moderation and proactive communication.
As the Head of Product of the Neighborhood Vitality pillar, you will partner closely with the executive team, communications, marketing, policy team, designers, researchers, data scientists, engineers, and fellow product managers to execute the product vision that enables neighbors to feel welcome and have kind conversations. You will be a thought leader in the company and across the industry to define what neighborhood vitality means and how Nextdoor leads in building a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on. You will work closely with the marketing team to define positioning and go-to-market strategy around these use cases and the partnerships team to build strategic partnerships with external resources.
