🌍 How does Finalis work?
We are a fully-remote company with Finalists distributed between the time zones of Eastern Standard Time and Eastern European Time .
This position is open to remote candidates with a preference for those between the GMT-5 (Eastern EST) and GMT-8 (Pacific PST) time zones.
Although we don’t have an official physical place to work, we promote gathering with your team or other colleagues whenever possible.
🤝 What about your team?
As the Head of Product at Finalis, you will report to the CTO and work closely with other Finalis stakeholders, taking ownership of theproduct management processes. You will be hands-on, identifying and managing product strategies, market needs, product requirements and roadmap priorities. You will understand the commercial and user impact of product decisions and be a key player in the development of Finalis’ product and the growth of Finalis’ business. You will work with multiple internal and external stakeholders at Finalis to explore problem spaces and help define concrete projects for the product engineering team to tackle to unlock Finalis’ growth as a business.
We value cross-functional teams and encourage collaboration across organizational boundaries. You should feel comfortable communicating business imperatives and product development processes to a non-technical audience and with the leadership team. You notice when there are foundational challenges with the product, and you actively invest in these projects for the benefit of the team and company long term.
✨ What will you be doing?
Managing a diverse, cross-cultural team of product managers and product developers.
Translating the competitive market and customer needs into a well defined product roadmap.
Defining, assessing, updating and communicating a clear and compelling product strategy that advances Finalis’ strategic vision and objectives.
Manage Finalis’ product roadmap and product development process and effectively align the entire company around the product strategy.
Understand internal and external user needs, including needs from customers, sales, and internal teams, identify product requirements and translate needs and requirements into product solutions that deliver value to users.
Conduct competitor analysis, product and market research and user analysis, identify market opportunities and refine a coherent vision and strategy within the product suite.
Identify ways to improve processes to increase value to Finalis’ internal and external users.
Understand the costs and commercial impact of competing product priorities.
Work with stakeholders to translate the product roadmap into a development schedule, optimizing Finalis’ ways of product development.
Manage the scopeand designs for features, products, and use-cases in coordination with other departments.
Engage closely with the Engineering team to determine the right technical path and timing to take to achieve our long term product roadmap, make the right effort/return product trade-offs, and manage the execution of projects to a reasonable implementation schedule.
Identify and implement metrics to assess the product’s performance throughout the product life cycle, advance data-driven decisions, and assess areas for improvement.
Manage internal stakeholders to optimize the impact of product launches on business needs.
Understand trends in the fintech and IB-fintech verticals that impact our product.
The Head of Product reports to the CTO of Finalis.
💬 Who are we looking for
You have exceptional written and spoken English.
You have between 5-8 years of relevant work experience within Product Management in Software Products in a technology business (e.g., a Head of Product or Senior Product Manager), ideally in B2B enterprise SaaS.
You know how to prioritize a product roadmap that balances the market demands with the development capacities.
You are comfortable with a “design-first” approach to product management.
You possess a solid understanding of both the technical and commercial impact of product development requirements and are able to incorporate these into product development decisions.
You have deep knowledge of how an high-output software development organization should function and clear expectations of different players and partners within an engineering organization.
You are experienced in coordinating product development and roadmapping with engineering teams to define requirements, prioritize development and work through conflicting priorities.
You have experience gathering requirements from internal and external users, go-to-market teams, and the market and are able to translate these into insights and requirements.
You have a ‘Systems Thinking’ - having the ability to see how various products and features should fit together to serve the operations team, with the analytical skills to justify the approach being taken. Demonstrated ability to identify foundational issues with product strategy and then actively invest in these projects for the benefit of the team and company long term.
You have an ‘Execution’ and ‘Hands-on’ profile - You are a self-starter, independently motivated. Bias towards action and experimentation. With capacity to juggle multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining incredible attention to detail.
You have excellent communication and collaboration skills - Demonstrated ability to work closely with and effectively manage stakeholders within design, operations, engineering, user research, and other business functions. Ability to create and communicate intuitive frameworks for thinking about products.
You have strong presentation and English communication skills (oral and written) for technical and non-technical colleagues up to and including the executive-level.
You have Google Workspace experience.

Mentor and coach product managers to hone their requirement gathering and user story writing skills.
Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gain deep insights into user needs and pain points.
Collaborate with designers and engineers to translate user requirements into technical specifications.
Advocate for the user voice throughout the product development lifecycle.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with requirement management tools (e.g., Jira).
Experience working in a startup environment.
Establish and maintain a rigorous requirement management process that ensures accuracy, traceability, and alignment with the overall product vision.

Previous investment banking or finance experience: Experience with financial services.
Long-term product strategy: Experience creating strategic product roadmaps that span years.
Relevant domain spaces: Prior experience with fintech, marketplaces, insurance, workflow optimization, and other products at the intersection of user experience & operations management.
Background in Computer Science, Math and Statistics, Operations Research or a related technical discipline.
Experience leading product managers and/or other adjacent functions (e.g. designers, analysts).
