Ticketing is a complex, historically opaque industry with a unique set of challenges. At SeatGeek we look to open ticketing with innovative technology, thoughtful interfaces, and an above-all-else focus on our users.

We are looking for a Head of Product Analytics to join SeatGeek’s Analytics team in New York City. SeatGeek’s Product team makes finding tickets to your next live event as seamless as possible by crafting the best user experience in the business. You will join SeatGeek’s Data team, who are the go-to partner for Product’s data production, experimentation, and insights generation needs.

As an experienced leader managing a team of analysts and data scientists, you will have broad experience in managing teams in the Insights space, ideally including having worked within mixed-method research teams of user researchers and data scientists/analysts to build multi-faceted customer understanding. You should also have expert knowledge of funnel analytics, customer journey mapping, and online experimentation.

What you’ll do

  • Build and lead a team of Product Analysts and Data Scientists that will develop research questions and undertake data exploration to understand who our consumers are, how they get value out of SeatGeek, and where we can develop our product to create even greater value over time
  • Empower your team to study the impact of new product features of customer behavior in order to bring data and insights into every decision we make. Define, evaluate, and monitor key metrics, understanding the root causes of changes, and proactively surface insights to Product leadership
  • Design sound experiments, analyze and interpret the results in concert with Product Managers, and document your findings for posterity
  • Join a cross-functional leadership team of Design, Data, and Product leaders and deliver sophisticated learning strategies focused on driving growth and conversion
  • Represent the work of your team at the executive level, and provide thought leadership for the larger Data and Insights practice at SeatGeek

Who you are

  • You have 7+ years relevant applied experience with a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related discipline. Practical chops you don’t mind dusting off when needed.
  • You have 4+ years of experience as a people manager in the product insights space, with experience hiring, coaching, and leading diverse, high-performing teams.
  • You have experience in a user-first environment, with natural empathy for our customers, how they experience the world, and what parts of that are relevant to their experience with SeatGeek.
  • You have experience breaking down and driving improvements in customer lifecycles, ideally in the e-commerce space.
  • A strong understanding of online testing methodologies, statistics, and standard data science toolkit e.g. Scikit-learn

Perks

  • Equity stake
  • Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you’d like or 100% remotely
  • A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
  • Flexible PTO
  • Up to 16 weeks of paid family leave
  • 401(k) matching program
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Annual subscriptions to Headspace, Ginger.io, and One Medical
  • $120 a month to spend on tickets to live events
  • Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music
