The Team

Printify is building a world class Product Design team to ensure the revolution in personalised manufacturing stays centred on the needs of users. User Experience is at the heart of the value that our customers enjoy and this role is to lead the team that delivers that delightful UX. The team includes a group of talented visual marketing designers that create our eye catching marketing content. Currently there are 8 Product Designers, 5 Marketing Designers & 1 UX Writer, working from multiple European countries with the majority in Riga and Tallinn. Product designers are embedded in squads and the Marketing designers service the various teams creating marketing content.

The role

We are looking for someone to lead our growing team of Product & Marketing Designers and represent UX and Design thinking throughout the organisation. Passion and experience in leading design teams is a requirement.

Main responsibilities

Build and lead the culture of the design team and a culture of user-centricity and UX within Printify’s leadership.
Through recruitment, processes and development (i.e. personal and collective growth) of the team, build capability within Printify to consistently deliver a functional, usable, reliable and delightful user experience throughout the user journey.
Ensure consistency between the user experience through marketing and acquisition and into the product experience.
Ensure systemic thinking on a holistic level for example by ensuring learnings are transferred across squads, that processes are consistent across squads and by use of Design system components when possible.
Lead the design organisation, including Product & Marketing.
Manage, motivate & develop the existing Design Team of 10+ people.
Work with DesignOps team to implement processes to help designers achieve most efficient outcomes (e.g. design reviews, pair designing, design thinking workshops, etc).
Mentor Designers under your supervision, support their career goals and help them to grow as professionals within Printify.

Minimum required skills & experience

10+ years of experience in Product Design
3+ years experience in product design leadership roles (Head of Design, VP of Design, Head of UX etc.)
Passion for leadership and development of others
Good understanding of both functional and aesthetic aspects of design
Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English
Skilled at influencing across complex organisations.

Preferred skills & experience

Experience with developing holistic user journeys from acquisition to product experience to retention & monetization.
Experience as a functional leader in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams is beneficial.
Experience in fast moving tech companies scaling up and going through rapid growth.
A flexible leader and a good coach, trusting and empowering the design team and our partners.
Experience working in or with eCommerce or online marketplace companies
