As Head of Design at lemlist, you’ll lead and scale our design team across product, and user experience.

You’ll work closely with our Designers, PMs, and Engineerings to shape how our products look, feel, work and most importantly solve real problems for our users.

This role is about user impact, not just pixels: you’ll set the vision for design, empower your team, and raise the bar for creativity & execution.

You will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our market, industry, users, company, and product vision

  • Dig beneath the surface to uncover real problems and opportunities

  • Define and articulate a bold design vision that aligns with lemlist’s mission and product strategy

  • Establish design principles, processes, and systems that drive consistency, speed, and quality across squads

  • Challenge and drive each Product Designer to raise the bar and reach higher impact

  • Be hands-on by owning the entire delivery process with Product Managers

  • Push the boundaries of what “great design” means in the Sales tech space, especially as AI is changing how Sales teams work

  • Create world-class design experiences that position lemlist as the leading software in our space

  • Shape what the future of Product Design looks like (including AI)

  • Only remains in a management position

  • Only sees design by the book

  • Tries to reinvent the wheel everywhere

  • Wait for instructions instead of being proactive

  • Are uncomfortable speaking with users or digging into real value creation

  • Don’t make user impact their priority

  • Enjoy their comfort zone

  • Spend more time in processes and complexe methodologies than bringing value to users

Key results

Within 3 months you will have:

  • Gained a deep understanding of our product, industry, and vision

  • Built relationships with lemlist users, and have a deep understanding of them

  • Owned the entire delivery process from end to end

  • Successfully created value for users

  • Identified problems and defined how product design should evolve at lemlist

Within 12 months you will have:

  • Launched solutions that positively impact users and the company’s revenue

  • Established yourself as an industry expert with deep insight into our customers

  • Influenced and improved the roadmap

  • Helped shape the future of lemlist and Sales prospection

  • Established a design culture where excellence, speed, and user-centricity are the norm

  • Raised the bar and supported Product Designers to deliver more impact

Preferred experience

Must have

  • You have 7+ years of experience in Product Design, with at least 3+ years in a leadership position. Scale-up experience is preferred.

  • Proven experience elevating design quality and growing the impact of design teams in SaaS environments

  • Strong portfolio showing excellence in product design and design leadership, we believe in “lead by example”

  • You have a big bias for action → You are a “débrouillard”, and understand the value of speed & execution

  • Hands-on mindset: comfortable switching between strategic vision and execution

  • Strong communication skills

  • Fluency in English & French

  • Strong pragmatism and good taste for software

  • Solid knowledge of SaaS markets & mechanisms

  • Strong business acumen

  • Ability to inspire and lead teams

  • Humility, curiosity, passion and a growth mindset

Nice to have

  • Ability to easily process and synthesize information

  • Experience in Sales tech

  • High tech literacy

  • Background in Sales or Operations

  • Background in Product Management
