What you’ll do

Lead, mentor and develop a team of 7 product designers, 1 UX researcher, and 1 DesignOps
Partner with management, engineers, and product managers to align on design initiatives, define a rolling roadmap and long-term direction
Work with designers across teams to define problems, support research, prototyping, and delivery
Help foster our design culture with knowledge-sharing, peer support, leading weekly Design Review, and during informal hang-outs (we meet weekly for a “Designer Aligner”)
Run the function’s performance reviews and salary reviews

Preferred requirements

Experience managing a remote team in a scale-up environment with millions of users
Driven to help companies elevate design maturity
A great storyteller comfortable explaining rationale and getting buy-in from stakeholders on product vision
Designed public-facing apps that have gotten love letters from users
A strong understanding and experience in product design from exploration to launch and beyond
