🏔️ Relive

Relive is an app used by more than 20 million people to make memories and share their outdoor adventures. We think that being outdoors and exploring the world around you is amazing for your mental and physical well-being, and we're on a mission to get everyone exploring the outdoors and living a healthy and active life.

Relive has been growing 100% organically, fuelled by our users’ love for our product and their passion for sharing their outdoor adventures with their friends and family. Our ambition doesn’t stop here - our goal is to keep on growing!

🧑‍🏫 Product Designer at Relive

We're looking for a designer to help us create visually compelling marketing assets and design user experiences that delight our users. You'll be part of the Growth Team, which includes a Product Manager, Product Analyst, Engineering Manager, and Engineers, and will soon expand with a marketing specialist. The Growth Team is currently responsible for building a sustainable growth engine to increase Relive's organic user acquisition.

Your job is to understand our users and their needs through both qualitative and quantitative research, and distil those insights into actionable designs. You’ll work closely with your Product Manager and Product Analyst to convert insights into clearly defined problems and opportunities. In this role, you’ll focus on two key areas:

  • Creating marketing assets: alongside UX design, you’ll contribute by creating visually compelling assets for marketing. This includes product screenshots for app stores, landing page designs, social media visuals, and other materials that support growth initiatives. You’ll help ensure that all visuals are optimised for clarity and impact, aligned with our product’s look and feel.
  • Supporting user research: regularly engage in user research, conducting interviews (we mostly use the JTBD framework) and usability tests to gather insights. You’ll leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to inform your design decisions and ensure solutions are grounded in real user feedback.
  • Designing user experiences: you’ll take the lead in proposing solutions to user problems - starting with ideation and moving into wireframes, prototypes, or high-fidelity designs as needed. You'll design for both app & web, with a focus on usability, conversion, and user engagement. Your solutions will consider technical feasibility and aim to push our engineers to create delightful user experiences.

💡 What would I work on

As a Product Designer on the Growth Team, you will:

  • Create visual assets: you will create visually compelling assets that can be used for Growth as well as for marketing material. For instance, you will create screenshots or videos for our product pages on the stores but it is also expected that you can quickly generate assets for landing pages, social media, and even goodies!
  • Design engaging solutions: you will be responsible for creating designs in a fast-paced environment, from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes. While we are currently focusing on the web, it is expected that you can also design for mobile apps. All your solutions will be optimized for conversion and clarity. It is also expected that your solutions take into account engineering feasibility, so it is expected that it is second nature for you to consider technical challenges while also pushing our engineers to delight our users.
  • Conduct user research on an ongoing basis: you will help structure qualitative research and be a sparring partner for quantitative research. In particular, you will prepare and run moderated interviews, surveys, 5-second tests, or usability tests for instance (these are just examples—not an exhaustive list of our research methods), and leverage our user behaviour analytics tools to identify opportunities and actionable insights.

💡 What else is happening at Relive?

Over the last years we found that the way people enjoy the outdoors, and therefore the product that suits best, varies from one person to the next. Practically, that means that adding a new feature to an existing product might be a great value-add for one, but a distraction to another.

In order to maximise the potential of a product it needs to be easy to find and fun to use. Therefore we decided to transform into a portfolio company, where it is our dream to build multiple products just like Relive.

While you work on Relive's current app, the rest of the team is (besides supporting you) laying the groundwork for us to be able to launch and scale new propositions. We'd love to start at least one other product in 2025. Each product team (like yours) is responsible for operating their product with a lot of help and support from Relive's central team of course.

⭐ The highlights

  • We work in empowered and focused product teams. The teams are given clear focus areas, ambitious objectives, and the safety and trust to do amazing things. This gives everyone a chance to focus on having an impact rather than wasting time with meetings and red tape.
  • Our product is growing fast. We grow 100% organically, and our users love our product and share it with their friends and family. We've got large amounts of data and users who love talking to us, you'll never have to worry about too little data or not enough users willing to join an interview.
  • You get to have a visible impact on our product and our users. Your fingerprints will be on a product used and loved by millions of users around the world and you'll get to see your code in the hands of our users in a matter of days.
  • If you want to work on a consumer product with insane growth and are ready to grow and learn faster than you could ever imagine, Relive could be the place for you.

🔭 What we're looking for

👍 Our Product Designer is:

  • Strong in visual design - we know that beautiful, functional visuals matter, and we want to create appealing, high-quality designs that drive user engagement and reflect our brand.
  • User obsessed - we love to talk to our users, and helping solve problems for them is what we live for. If we have an hour to spare we'd rather spend it talking to a user than playing around on Figma.
  • Analytical - we've got a lot of data and believe heavily in A/B testing and measuring our impact whenever possible.
  • Focused on problems - we fall in love with the problems we discover, not with specific solutions.
  • Proud generalists - we're not afraid of tackling all parts of the product design process.

👎 On the flip side, our Product Designer is not:

  • Specialists in only one area - we believe in generalists. We cover the whole spectrum of design, not just a specific part of it.
  • Biased towards solutions - we first focus on the problem area, solutions come and go.
  • Unable to share ideas fast - we like to get feedback from our team fast. That's why we create rough flows and fat marker sketches, before diving into more detailed designs.
  • Fanatical about scrum - we don't follow a rigid methodology. We have our own processes and are constantly evolving as we learn.
