As the Group Product Manager on the Jira Service Management team, you will join one of Atlassian’s fastest growing products and lead the mission which aims to empower service teams to start working. You will define the vision & strategy for how we reduce our customers' time to value in the product, leading an immensely impactful opportunity space that is getting a lot of focus and attention in the coming years.
You will lead a team of passionate Product Managers and partner deeply with your peers in Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Research. This is the chance to set the direction for a key part of our business, making some hard trade-offs and navigating a challenging but super rewarding space. You will also join forces with various platform teams that empower core pieces of the product and its configuration elements, playing as a team of teams and motivating multiple departments with your group’s vision. This work will directly impact tens of thousands of customers and hundreds of thousands of users.

  • A love for developing and mentoring Product Managers both individually and as part of a cohesive outcome-oriented team
  • Passion and ability to coach and guide teams so they can understand the big picture and how their work fits in
  • A strong track record of growing high performing teams that hit their goals
  • Communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills for the purpose of interacting with a wide variety of people and functions with a track record of building relationships and influencing without authority at all levels of the organisation
  • Creativity in problem solving combined with an anything is possible attitude. You are comfortable navigating dependencies and stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Ability to think in a platform mindset both long term strategically as well as get engaged in the day to day execution detail
  • Good instincts matched with deep analytical thinking that can marry the qual and quant. You can rapidly understand complex systems and gather and assess meaningful insights and share the results. Naturally inquisitive, you love digging deeper to truly understand why

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • 7+ years of product management experience, ideally at a fast-growing software company
  • Significant experience defining and launching features that solve customer and business problems
  • You love obsessing over your customers, and working directly with design, architecture and engineering to ship impactful products
  • Ability to prioritise opportunities, balance the needs of our customers with those of our business, and clearly communicate the rationale behind your decisions
  • Ability to paint a compelling vision to inspire your teams and partners
  • Good instincts matched with deep analytical thinking. You're comfortable defining and tracking key business and usage success metrics
  • A track record of building relationships and influencing without authority at all levels of the organisation

The Jira Service Management team is responsible for building Atlassian’s service management product offering. Our goal is to help customers deliver exceptional service fast, bring visibility to work and accelerate the flow of work between development, IT, and business teams.
Built on the Jira platform, the product is designed to help teams rapidly get started with a service desk and grows with teams as they mature. Jira Service Management encompasses deeper service management practices including request management, incident/problem/change management, asset/config management, knowledge management and self-service.
