At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.

Driver participation on the platform is integral to its health. Drivers choices for when and where to drive depend on their ability to earn while having safe and, hopefully, fun experiences. The Driver Earnings team is responsible for designing and implementing the structure for how drivers earn on the platform. Last year, we were proud to launch our Earnings Commitment to drivers followed by improvements in how drivers earn when stuck in traffic or when a rider wants a ride out of a busy area. We believe that with transparency and policies that reflect driver feedback, we can be the platform of choice for rideshare drivers.

We are now seeking a Product Lead, for the Driver Earnings team, to build upon our recent incredible success. This role will be responsible for maintaining a unifying vision across the ways in which a driver can earn, as well as working with adjacent teams responsible for mapping, dispatch, and the driver user experience to develop incentive structures and experiences with positive feedback loops.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a team of high caliber product managers, providing them with development, mentorship, and and coaching to help them achieve theirs and Lyft's goals
  • Be the product leader driving our strategic product and technology vision for the Driver Earnings teams

  • Understand the competitive landscape and both general/ industry trends as well as local movements in driver experiences to inform product strategies + roadmaps
  • Review how product managers reporting to you translate customer and internal user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the marketplace
  • Guide and interface closely with data science, analysts and engineers to review and refine scope and technical capabilities, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing a high performing team of product managers while providing development, mentorship, and excitement to exceed team and department goals
  • Minimum of 5 years in product management or relevant experience identifying investment opportunities
  • An academic background in Economics or related discipline with a solid understanding of incentive design
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills across a different groups of stakeholders
  • Experience in marketplace product design, especially on the labor side of the market
