The Web Platform team owns the web experiences that communicate Plaid’s story and brand to millions of users every day. We’re a team of product managers, engineers, designers, and marketers that collaborate on plaid.com to connect our products with the users who need them. Working across disciplines, we help launch products, scale Plaid’s brand narrative, deliver new campaigns and events, and optimize our digital marketing efforts. As the product manager for our Web team, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a best-in-class public web experience that drives customer engagement, conversion, and business impact. You will work cross-functionally to ensure a seamless, data-driven, and customer-centric web platform that aligns with business objectives and brand positioning. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong product mindset, deep analytical skills, and a passion for building customer-first digital experiences that drive measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy. Define and communicate the strategic roadmap for the web experience, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand identity, and customer lifecycles. Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to drive innovation.
  • Customer-Centric Product Development. Champion a customer-first mindset, leveraging research, insights, and data to optimize user experiences. Define success metrics, track key product performance indicators, and iterate based on data insights. Lead the product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, high-impact features.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution. Partner with engineering, design, analytics, marketing, sales, and other teams to deliver a cohesive and engaging web experience. Align web strategies with marketing initiatives to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Drive alignment and enthusiasm among stakeholders, ensuring clarity and buy-in for web initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Optimization & A/B Testing. Utilize analytics and experimentation to refine the user journey and conversion funnel.
  • Conduct A/B tests to optimize features and continuously improve the web experience based on measurable outcomes.
  • Leadership & Communication. Grow, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience or equivalent with a strong track record in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of web-based products.
  • In-depth knowledge of web technologies including direct experience with front-end or back-end web development technologies and APIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of user experience principles and product lifecycle management. Proven track record in optimizing key performance metrics such as engagement, conversion, and retention to drive product success.
  • Analytical Acumen. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to uncover product opportunities, inform strategic decisions, and measure impact. Expertise in optimizing user experiences and driving product performance improvements through data-driven approaches.
  • Experimentation Rigor. Hands-on experience in testing and scaling products with a focus on experimental precision and a data-driven approach to optimization
  • Leadership and Collaboration. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, product marketing, and growth marketing, to align on a unified product vision and deliver seamless web experiences.
  • Strategy and Roadmap Development. Proven ability to define and execute product strategies that align with business goals and user needs. Skilled at breaking down complex strategies into clear, actionable roadmaps and requirements, while regularly presenting progress and updates to senior leadership. Continuously evaluates and refines the roadmap based on user feedback, data insights, and industry trends.
