About the position
The Director of Product Operations is a mission-oriented leadership role focused on driving organizational efficiency and strategic alignment across our global Product and Technology teams. Your primary aim will be to streamline and solidify our operational processes to ensure clarity, predictability, and velocity at scale. This role requires a unique blend of strategic vision, operational execution, and highly nuanced people skills, someone who can confidently drive necessary change with diplomacy, strong influence, and a deep understanding of global cultural dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
People, Change Management & Communication
- Lead the strategic post-merger integration of combined company operations, driving the complete reimagination of core processes, within a globally dispersed context across US, EMEA, and APAC.
- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Serve as the central connecting point across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. Excellent stakeholder management is essential; you must be comfortable stepping up, advocating for best practices, and driving alignment across the organisation.
- Driving Change: Lead change management initiatives for new processes, tools, and methodologies, ensuring smooth adoption and high engagement across teams. This requires spending significant time talking with people, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the 'why' behind the changes.
- Voice of the Customer: Establish and standardize the process for gathering actionable feedback on the product from clients and translating these insights into the product development roadmap and priorities.
Process & Program Leadership
- Software Planning & Execution: Own and refine the end-to-end product development lifecycle. Lead and facilitate strategic quarterly planning processes to ensure alignment with company objectives and resource capacity.
- Program & Project Management: Bring strong project management discipline and program manager experience to coordinate complex, cross-functional initiatives. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
- Strategic Consultation: Apply a consultancy experience lens to diagnose operational gaps, propose strategic solutions with clear phases and implementations, and develop long-term operational plans.
- Reporting & Governance: Prepare and deliver high-stakes presentations to the executive team and the board on product operations performance, strategic plans, and key achievements.
What we are looking for:
- Experience: Proven director-level experience in Product Operations, Strategic Program Management within a complex, multi-location, high-growth technology or B2B software environment.
- Global Change Expertise: Extensive, hands-on experience leading significant organizational change management in a global setting, demonstrating sensitivity to diverse time zones and work cultures.
- Strategic Acumen: Prior consultancy experience or equivalent skill set, enabling you to take a strategic view, translate complexity into clear, phased implementation plans, and present them confidently to executive audiences.
- Technical Fluency: A deep understanding of how software is being built and shipped, allowing for credible and informed interaction with engineering leadership and participation in technical due diligence.
- Interpersonal & Leadership Skills: Exceptional people and connecting skills. Must be highly effective at building consensus, managing conflict, and acting as a proactive driver of people and processes—the ability to "stand on their feet" and assert influence with professionalism and grace.
- Project Management Discipline: Strong background in Program and Project Management, utilizing robust frameworks to manage complex projects and ensure on-time delivery.
