Salsify has rebuilt our product marketing foundation in the last year, growing from one person to 10. We are now seeking an experienced Director of Product Marketing to help further scale this team’s impact.

As the Director of Product Marketing, you will manage a team of product marketers responsible for positioning, messaging, and leading go-to-market for Salsify’s portfolio of solutions. You will use your knowledge of messaging frameworks, persona research, and product marketing best practices to coach and guide this team to tell compelling stories both internally and externally to a wide audience. You’ll also be the lead for messaging and go-to-market strategies for Salsify’s overarching CommerceXM solution. Working with Corporate Marketing and Analyst Relations, you’ll have the opportunity to tell the story of Salsify as a company. This is a leadership role that will report directly to the VP of Product Marketing.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Lead a team of 5+ product marketers, who are responsible for the positioning, messaging, persona definition, and go-to-market strategies of their individual product lines
  • Use your knowledge of messaging frameworks, persona research, and product marketing best practices to create standardized templates that can be consistently rolled out across all our product lines
  • Mentor, lead, and provide feedback to the product marketing team, ensuring high performance, continuous learning, and career development
  • Work cross-functionally to define or improve processes, including but not limited to product launches, sales enablement, and demand generation planning
  • Develop the overarching CommerceXM positioning and go-to-market strategy, in conjunction with the VP of Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, and Analyst Relations
  • Participate in strategic discussions and activity related to our pricing and packaging

You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:

  • Experience building out and/or managing a product marketing team of 4+ people
  • A passion for coaching and developing leaders
  • Ability to work autonomously with little or no supervision, ability to make decisions with uncertainty or imperfect data
  • Excellent project management, change management, and organizational skills
  • Consistent track record in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines effecively
  • Highly collaborative team player with the ability to lead through influence and drive projects forward across cross-functional teams spanning sales, customer success, marketing, and other departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with presenting and engaging with internal and external stakeholders, executive level, and C-Suite
  • A data-driven mindset, comfortable with analyzing data to come up with insights, ability to clearly and concisely communicate those insights
  • Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment, and/or experience in a rapidly scaling company
  • Familiarity with Pragmatic Marketing or other product marketing frameworks
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details with the team
