Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Director, Head of Product Marketing to build Brave’s product marketing function from the ground up. Reporting to the CMO, you’ll be responsible for driving GTM launch strategies and product adoption across multiple lines of business, including our browser on various platforms and operating systems, search, wallet, advertising, rewards, and premium products. The ideal candidate will be able to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, and have a strong track record of managing complex launches, building consensus with large cross functional teams, and utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data.


Core responsibilities

  • Define comprehensive GTM strategies—rooted in audience research and insights—with a clearly defined value proposition and messaging across owned and outbound channels
  • Drive market research and qualitative user feedback to influence future product roadmaps and launches—you should feel comfortable embedding yourself in the product development process with a deep understanding of user pain points 
  • Partner with the design team, along with vendors and agencies, to translate user needs into effective messaging and creative assets 
  • Facilitate complex launches and post-launch programs that continue to drive product adoption in a deeply cross functional environment with close partnership with Product, Engineering, Design, Community, Marketing, and PR teams
  • Build—and lead—a high-visibility, high-achieving team of product marketers
  • Be the visible face for product marketing as a function at Brave

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional marketing experience in a B2C corporate or startup environment (bonus points if you also have B2B experience)
  • At least 5 years in a product marketing function
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with high attention to detail and organization
  • Proven track record of leading a team of product marketers to manage marketing programs and launches at scale

Nice to haves

  • Understanding of blockchain and crypto preferred, but not required 
  • Experience working in the ad tech ecosystem 
  • Experience working with web browsers or related platform technologies
