About the Role

As the Design Operations Co-ordinator for our rapidly growing Visual Content (VC) Group, you'll be embedded in our Tech Team whose purpose is to support and scale the work of our Creative Team. Your role in Tech Team will be to align and co-ordinate projects to ensure a smooth, efficient delivery. Additionally, you will support the VC leadership team to deliver the foundational processes and initiatives for the group.

You will be joining in the Design Operations sub-speciality, sitting within the wider Design speciality at Canva. Our role is to provide the structures and processes to facilitate efficient, incredible Creative work. Within VC, the Design Ops team is 30+ members strong working with a team of 150+ Creatives and an even bigger Contractor pool.

As part of our vibrant and friendly group, you'll have the opportunity to work on the newest Canva products and you'll be an integral part of Canva's creative offering as you help co-ordinate projects, be a guardian of processes and provide hands-on daily support to the team.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

Project Management for a busy, complex team including the triaging of requests, project plans through to implementation and delivery
Coordination point within the group, supporting group leadership to deliver on group-wide projects and helping to drive initiatives forward
Process guardian, ensuring documentation is created and maintained to support efficient workflows
Ownership of all group-level meetings, ensure documents are prepared, attendees are available and meetings notes/recording are shared
Liaison point for internal Canva stakeholders, especially focused on the championing of the team's work outside the immediate group
Initiate group-wide process improvements/projects, and constantly look to connect and optimise our team

You're probably a match if:

You have 1-2yrs experience as Project or Account Manager in the Creative Industry
You have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
You’re a quick learner, and comfortable in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
You enjoy clear, structured and routine tasks, but also have the ability to work independently and take initiative
You’re be a team player with excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence. You love building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders around the business.
You’re happy to roll up your sleeves with any task, keeping the bigger picture in mind, with no task being too small if it makes the team around you more effective.
