About Panther

What we’re looking for:
You should be good at creating great, mid-length content, like blog posts. You should also have a strong understanding of how to structure content with SEO in mind. This means that you have an understanding of how blog posts should be built, what makes for good readability, and how to build a piece that keeps readers interested from intro to conclusion.
And, you should be passionate about your craft––writing should be something you genuinely love doing. Finally, you should be interested in the topic of remote work :)
What you will do:
- Receive creative briefs. The briefs you receive will specify what you’re writing on, add inspiration and details, and everything else you need to write a great piece of content.
- Research, structure, and write a top-shelf piece of content. This is what you’ll spend ~90% of your time doing. Most of the content you write will be SEO-focused.
- Handle other, smaller tasks, like ad copy. From time to time, you may be asked to write ad copy for social media ad campaigns, for example.
That’s what we’re envisioning right now. This is a refreshingly straightforward job: You won’t be asked to create content briefs, manage analytics, analyze Google Search Console, or do keyword research. You will, mostly, just write.
About you:
- Experience writing excellent, mid-form content (like blog posts)
- Experience writing social media
- A mastery of the English language: You know how to write in a natural way, and you have an intuitive understanding of how sentences build and flow together
- A solid understanding of what makes a blog post good from an SEO perspective
- You care about writing things that people truly want to read, and you’re very good at doing this
- You know how to make a 1,000-word blog post compelling
- Topics like remote work, hiring, and digital nomading interest you
- Good to have: A passion for writing outside of your work. Poetry, stories, and personal essays are examples here. We care about this because it’s one clear way to show that you care about the craft of writing outside of a paycheck. But, it’s absolutely not necessary.
