About the Content Strategist, Product Marketing position at Showpad:

The Content team is the strategic engine that drives and supports business objectives. We use content as a key asset that promotes and disseminates the company mission and positioning to accelerate awareness and achieve revenue goals. The Content team is responsible for creating compelling thought leadership that educates, engages and nurtures prospects while positioning Showpad as a market leader.

As a content strategist, you will be responsible for writing and developing quality content throughout the entire marketing funnel. You will…

  • Support sales and customer success teams, lead generation, SEO strategy, thought leadership, lifecycle initiatives, and quarterly campaigns. 
  • Ideate and create short- and long-form content across a wide variety of formats, including case studies, video, articles, infographics, interactives, guides, events, and webinars. 
  • Adhere and elevate the established brand voice and tone guidelines to ensure consistency. 
  • Become an enablement and adjacent category subject matter expert, serving as an internal guide to our product and competitor solutions. 
  • Use data to inform content decision making and editorial calendar recommendations. 
  • Proactively bring ideas and intel to the entire content team to share ideas and inform the editorial calendar. 
  • Follow formalized processes, with the opportunity to shape, evolve, and document those processes. 

Expectations:

These are critical skills necessary for the job, and what you will be held accountable for in your role. 

  • Skilled in copywriting, content creation, and copy editing, including writing in different voices and styles, for a variety of target audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • A collaborative spirit, ambitious attitude, and constant curiosity.
  • Organizational skills and able to manage multiple projects at once—you can handle several types of projects and stakeholder perspectives regularly. 
  • Analytical skills to interpret and utilize data to inform and influence content decisions, including planning and execution. 
  • Ability to project manage, keep stakeholders aligned and updated, provide thoughtful and thorough feedback to designers and other writers, and bring content initiatives through the entire project lifecycle. 
  • Keen sense for how design and content work together, with an understanding of basic user experience and user journey principles.
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics. 
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
  • Experience working in the B2B SaaS space.
