We're looking for a Content Designer to join our Issue Experience design team - we are the design team that looks after the Creating and Viewing an Issue platform experience across all of our Jira product family.
We're looking for a team player who understands that building great software products is all about teamwork. Beyond building impactful content experiences, you help guide projects that benefit the broader design & content design communities here at Atlassian.
You have prior experience working as a content designer, content strategist, or UX writer within a design team. Candidates having experience in technical communication or content marketing, and willing to expand their horizons, are welcome to apply.
As the Content Designer on the Issue Experience team, you will:
- Work with the product designers, product managers, and engineers to understand the purpose of features and how to best to explain them to a range of audiences;
- Deliver, high-quality features and support content through the product release cycle;
- Use and contribute to the Atlassian voice and tone, brand, and design guidelines; and,
- Write relevant suggestions, and recommendations that empower our customers to move work forward
When you join the team, you'd be expected to have:
- Experience with professional UX writing, technical writing, or relevant experience;
- a love for both technical and non-technical content;
- experience creating and leading content strategy for in-product content;
- the ability to understand technical aspects of a product and be able to translate this in simple terms to a general audience;
- skills in content testing and determining whether content is meeting the needs of customers;
- experience working with software development teams, including product designers, engineers and product managers
It's great, but not required if you have:
- Worked with a content management system, Contentful or similar tool;
- Experience with SaaS, or complex enterprise applications;
- interest in measuring the impact of content through data and analytics.
