Position Summary
Our design team is looking for a Brand Designer with strong organization, illustration, and animation abilities to help support brand design and marketing initiatives. Your work will elevate our brand and aid in explaining complex topics related to our product.
This role reports to our Brand Design Director.
The ideal candidate can be flexible in hours but available 8am -2pm CST in the Americas or 3pm - 6pm CET if in EMEA regions.
What you can expect to do on a daily basis
- Be responsible for brand needs including:
- Illustrations
- Conceptual charts, diagrams, and data visualizations
- Designs for swag and printables
- Events and environmental design
- Be responsible for the animation of our brand style illustrations
- Familiarity with frame by frame, CSS animation, and best practices would be a great bonus
- Organizational design and production support. This might include google decks, docs, white papers, blog headers, or other general design needs
- Work closely with the brand, marketing and product teams to explain technical topics and relay the value of our product visually
- Balance your schedule, and clearly communicate on project status and your bandwidth. Be able to raise a hand if you need clarification
- Voice your perspective and join in team crits
What you bring
- A caring mindframe and an empathetic spirit. The ability to think from other perspectives is a tool we ask of all employees as well as high emotional intelligence, ability to handle constructive criticism and competing ideas
- The ability to adapt to an existing brand style, and elevate it as the brand evolves
- 3+ years of brand design experience. High knowledge of vector based illustration styles in Adobe Illustrator
- Moderate animation ability including frame by frame and CSS based animations with an interest in gaining deeper knowledge
Nice to have
- Rebranding experience. Have you participated in a large scale rebrand before?
- Some experience working with a highly technical product or topic
- Experience working with a global team

This is a remote job.

To maximize team collaboration, this role is preferred in the Americas Central, Americas East or UK/EU/ West Africa time zones. We are open to Americas West if you are able to commit to regular start times at 7am.

About our recruitment process
We don’t expect a great hire to meet every requirement we have listed. If you can see yourself elevating the team we want to hear about your story. Few of us would be here had we not taken a chance.
You can expect 1-4 interviews on Google Meet. We leave the process fairly customizable to teams and roles, so in some scenarios we’re able to streamline the process to have minimal rounds. Expect a higher number of rounds for director level roles and above.
Additionally, you can schedule coffee chats with potential future peers while you’re in the recruitment process to see if you can envision working together. Your views matter. Use interview and coffee time to make sure the company aligns with your best working environment.
